I graduated from CLC in 1999. The school itself wasn't so bad. Any outsider might look at all these students as being "bad kids", well, they arent' . I missed a lot of credits at another school, then came here to catch up so I could graduate on time. Ended up catching up AND finishing all required credits early. Teachers overall were wonderful!

CLC is an excellent school for indiviuals who are trying to do something with themselves. I learned so much from brilliant teachers. Mrs.Mills, Dr.Denmon, Mrs.Jones, and Mr.White. I owe them my life and they can say whatever they want about the school. Unless, you really experienced it, you cant talk about what you dont know.

While CLC is to the best at every thing it is a school that focuses on the present and pressing needs of the individuals that attend it. I myself am a graduate of The Contemporary Learning Center and am grateful to the Houston Independent School District and the school officials for having a facility such as this. I was not a problem child. I fell ill in ninth grade and went to CLC to finish with my rightful graduating class. I say bravo for establishing a program that lets young mothers, former dropouts, and others move expediently through the educational process while maintaining a stable educational environment with all the benefits of a regular four-year high school. now I say thank you to all the many wonderful teachers and staff that walk the halls of C. L. C. thank you for caring. It means a lot. Now I'm a teacher!

CLC is an excellent school, yes it may have a problem but what school doesn't, CLC does not offer extra circular activates beacuse it is not a traditional school, it's an excellent school.

The extra cirricular activities at this school are few and I feel that that is doing a diservice to the kids who attend school there. Academics are also slipping and a greater effort should be made to raise them to a higher level.

This school is the best thing that ever happened in my life. Because I was behind in school, I was able to catch up and my grades are excellent. I have especially learned a great deal of math from the previous math teacher that worked up there named Mr. Mason. Thank you so much Ms. Moore for giving me a second chance to makes something out of my life.
