this school is not as good as it was. especially the discipline because i was cornered in the restroom and the student kept on pushing me and woudnt let me out becuase he didnt like my religion so becuase i coudnt get out of there and kept on pushing me i punched him so i could get out we ended up fighting and the teachers found out he admitted to push me constantly in restroom and they suspended me (they suspended him to) but its the point that they suspended me for trying to get out and the adminastrator said i could have yelled for help (wich i highly doubt the student would let me do) but she said i could have done that to get out of the situation.
This school has a great educatio system, there re many incentives and much motivation for the students that is enforced with reasonable discipline, the standards are high and the programs are good. there are football, basketball, volleyball and track teams, dance teams, jrotc, and art. Parental involvement is low, but the school is still excellent.
Teachers work very hard to lead their students to success. There is very little parent involvment. Low SES status school. Predominately hispanic. New principal next year.
I believe its a wonderful school. The kids love it. The academic programs helps the kids understand that they can learn much more and have a higher success. The sports(by my experience) are great! We have great coaches and they get along so well with the kids.
I think this year the school has gotten alot better. It is alot stricter there are some rules that are bit to strict but it has made the school better. You cant tell the principal is trying her best and she is doing everything wihtin her power to make this school better. She even comes to our games our old principal never did that. As far as safety it is a safe school and it is a really good school it just really depends on the kid. If you don't want to follow the rules then the teachers have something for you to do after school. As for extra-curricular activities, Fonville has so many you woudn't believe, and you can be in all of them its just finding the time. So Fonville is a good school and I am sure it will stay like that from now well I hope it will.
This school is great for students that try to achive. But the only realy bad part about the school is the safety, just like most schools. The teacher's at Fonville Middle School are excellent teachers they try to get envole with the students on a personal level so they help the students learning experince.
