In 2003, I heard a lot of positive comments about this school from community members. In 2004, however, a new principal arrived, and now my neighbors say they want to pull their children out of the school and/or are planning to move to a better school zone. I was hoping that my next child could attend this campus, but I have heard nothing but negatives about the administration.

This school is very diverse and is a magnet program for science.

My child is in kindergarten. This is her second HISD school due to my passionate concern about having my child matched with the type of teacher she needs. I confidently admit that the change was a step into the most profitable direction for my child. The atmosphere of the school is one in which a parent would feel reassured that their child will be taught and challenged in a caring and well-disciplined environment . I would recommend this school to anyone willing to play an integral part of their child's educational career.

This is my son's first year at Red and although the school year has just started I can already tell that this is a great school. The principal and staff are wonderful and eager to help. They seem willing to do just about anything to make your day a little easier, and as a full time student and parent I need all the help I can get. Mrs. Johnson, my son's teacher is the best. She is great with the children and my son loves being in her class. She is a wonderful person and is greatly appreciated.
