Nurse & staff fail to notify parents when there are parasites being spread among the children. Mine caught scabies 3 times in less than a year. I withdrew her & have had no problems since.
TH Rogers is the best elementary and middle school in the State of Texas and possibly the country. It is very unique in that it challenges the gifted and talented students and it supports and challenges the Hearing Impaired and Multiply Impaired. All belong equally to the school and are important to the staff. Your children learn sign language to communicate with the deaf. Your children learn to interact and appreciate the multiply impaired children. They learn lessons each day due to these interactions that facilitate empathy and care for each other. For GT Kids - the academics are top and your kids will be challenged. But not only will they excel in academics, they excel in character. No other place like it.
Excellent school all around, emphasing character and academic. the students are an exceptional group of talented, sweet, positive kids.
T.H.Rogers is the best elementary school in Houston. The academic content is challenging, impressive and enhanced by dedicated, caring, qualified educators. It is a wonderful experience as a parent to witness your child grow as an independent thinker. We are very fortunate to have both of our children in this exceptional school . Go Rams!
With great effort, patience, love, and consistency during first 5 years, our three daughters were able to start their academic endeavor from Kindergarten at TH Roger (1992, 1999 and 2007 ) As a father and a school volunteer ( different schools) during last 25 years, I've seen what made TH Rogers a success story, the whole thing differences from many others schools in the HISD were three cucial elements everyone talking about: Strong parental involvements, exceptional student attitudes and skillful teacher performances.
The quality of the education is unsurpassed! THe student body is made up of kids wanting to achieve in life. Not your typical public school where you are constantly concerned with poor role models.
My son has attended TH Rogers since second grade and we are extremely pleased with just about everything. The curriculum is very challenging and it is not for every student. However ,for gifted/talented kids, the variety of courses, the intensity of the work and the fast pace keep them engaged and challenged. Even though the building itself is nothing special, the teaching that happens inside is unmatched. I would recommend this school for children who thrive in high performance and extremely challenging environments.
This school is wonderful for those truly gifted students capable of handling its strenuous academic program. The staff is caring, parental involving opportunities abound, and the kids are amazingly gifted.
This would be my daughters third year at T. H. Rogers and this past spring semester is the first time I've actually had a problem with my child's teacher. Despite those problems I have to say that the school is very good. It has many opportunity. for parents to be involved year around, and overall my child has learned a great deal since she's been there.
This is a very good school. My child enjoys coming to school. The curriculum is awesome. The teachers are patient with the students. I definately recommend this school.
