The school, from the staff, involved parents, and the students all exemplify excellence. We moved our two boys to Kingwood to be surrounded by a culture that believes it takes a village to raise children to be the best they can be. My boys love the good friends they have made and is very active with extracurricular activities.

My daughter went to this school for three years. She is now at a different school b/c we moved and she is bored. Shadow Forest taught them different strategies which made learning more challenging. The teachers and classroom environment were excellent.

Shadow Forest is a wonderful place for students who need additional supports both behaviorally and academically. The administration and staff go above and beyond for students with special needs. However if your child is above average or average, their needs will NOT receive the same priority.

Shadow Forest is a wonderful school. The KG team is a seasoned/well experienced team, and have a special place in our children's heart. We had a medical issue last year, and the school nurse went above and beyond to assist us. Overcrowding is an issue and is hopefully being addressed. Would like to see high achieving students receive as much academic attention an under achieving students. Overall, Shadow Forest is a warm, safe, and positive environment for children to learn and grow.

Happy with teachers. Great parental involvement. Need to work on communicating better with parents on curriculum and offer extra assignments for children. Awesome reading program with mentoring of peers. Excellent computer and music program. Top notch school nurse! School lunches are below par. Great school overall with caring professionals!

Both our kids were enrolled in the Montersorri school prior to attending SFE. They love it there because its similar structures allowing them to take more initiatives choosing activities by group/abilities rather than doing the same thing as a class. It's less conventional but great for kids' early education.

Not all teachers at this school are equal. Some are really good some are not. Needs to have a better math program. Reading program is very good for above average kids.

Shadow Forest is an excellent school. I was first impressed by the friendliness and how the teachers wanted the kids to be comfortable while learning. It is not an overly strict school, but is surely an understanding one. The teachers respect the childrens' feelings and needs, and the children are very respectful and happy. This school is a fun and safe place to learn - and that was important to me. My oldest is now in Middle school and it is obvious that her years at SFE have prepared her well.

Shadow forest is always researching and using best practices in every thing they do. I am amazed that this little secret in kingwood, texas does not have more publicity for the incredible things they are doing to help every child feel and become successful. Their classrooms are designed around every individual learner, and their motto is followed by every individual in the school: We teach the way each child learns!

We have been so pleased with our experience at Shadow Forest Elementary. The school staff is always available to the parents and the teachers that my son has been assigned to have been top quality. We recently rebuilt and made sure we remained in Shadow Forest district so that my son could continue his education at this school. Shadow Forest amazes me with the amount of creativity used to make learning so much fun for him.
