I have a child at Pat Reynolds Elementary. The second grade teachers were wonderful, dedicated, and enthusiastic about the children learning. Some of the 3rd grade teachers appear very imature in the manner in which they address the children. I have heard many parents discuss reports from the kids of yelling insults at them. My own child had no direct insults but confirms the frequent yelling and other non professional behavior of some of the 3rd grade teachers. My child is now at a different school and I am grateful as when talking with some friends this weekend, I was told that one 3rd grade math teacher actually walked out of the classroom last week and turned out the light on the kids. She said "they were just too loud and she was done". Oddly enought, the switch teacher has the same kids but controls her class without such dramatics.

I have a child that has been attending this school for two years. Before that she was at a local daycare. I honestly feel that she learned more in the Pre-K class at the daycare, than she has at Pat Reynolds. The Principal seems very under educated and some of the teaching staff just seem lost, like they are just winging it. I am not at all impressed with this school. Problems are very slow to be addressed, and usually with unsatisfactory solutions. We did not realize this school had such low standards when we moved into the area. My main regret is that my child is the one who has to pay for my mistake.

Reynolds does a great job of teaching the whole child. In addition to the excellent teaching offered in the core curriculum areas, they also have a strong art and music program. The PTO is very involved and there are programs and meetings at least twice monthly. Excellent school with wonderful diversity.

I have 2 children at OCE. Both are in the Tier 4 program (2 year excelleration)for math and language arts, and I am thrilled with both programs. I only wish they had a similar program for science. The teachers are among the most dedicated I have ever experienced...kind, caring, loving yet firm, approachable, and focused on teaching our kids well. The principal and assistant principals are all outstanding. The only complaint I have is the kids only get P.E. twice a week. I wish they had it every day. The school is racially diverse, and the kids don't seem to notice or care, which is ideal. We have a high percentage of economically disadvantaged families. The PTO volunteers are very dedicated, and they have contributed so much to our school (playground equipment, benches, computers, teacher wish list items, a sign outside the school, just to name a few).

Transferred my daughter here after a horrible experience with the Redd School. She was behind academically but the staff at Oak Creek was very kind and helpful in getting her up to speed. Administration is stellar.
