I absolutely love this school for my kids. The teachers and parents are very much involved in the school and community. The curriculum for all ages is age appropriate and also challenges the students. When comparing the curriculum of public schools with St Jerome's I really see the difference and how advanced my children are. I am also a 2nd generation Bulldog and my children absolutely love the idea that some of the teachers have been there since I was a kid!
We love St. Jerome and couldn't imagine our children going anywhere else. There is such a wonderful sense of community - we are so very blessed to be a part of this Church and school!
I LOVE this school!! I am a second generation St. Jerome Bulldog and I would never think of sending my child anywhere else. It truly is Houston's best kept secret! Every teacher (and I mean every single one) knows every single student and parent. No one is a stranger! The facilities are wonderful, the curriculum actually prepares each student for the future, they have a "no bullying" policy, and they are extremely diligent about food allergies. I trust each and every staff member to both prepare my son for the future and watch out for his daily safety. Each student gains a sense of accomplishment and wants to succeed. I love all of the events as well! We have field day, parent/volunteer appreciation days, BOWLING spirit nights, switch day (where 8th graders take the teacher spot for the day), galas, and so much more. I just wish it went through high school so we didn't have to leave after 8th grade.
Outstanding school. Oustanding atmosphere. Your kids will enjoy being here, and you will be pleased with the curriculum.
the people are great. The teachers are amazing! If your going the 5th grade next year, you will love it! Especialy,Mr.More andMr.aguilara
My daughter has been at St. Jerome since Kindergarten and now she is in eighth grade her last year at the school. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a good spiritual, catholic foundation to be with your child throughout their lifetime. I never had a problem since my daughter has been there and now we must move on to high school. St. Jerome is an excellent school and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
This was our first year at St. J and we were welcomed & made to feel at home. My son has enjoyed it very much. Working with the teachers and after care providers has made it a place where he was given the chance to grow in this new environment. Small class sizes and teacher availability was a plus! Excellent communication by the school office, PTO and committees. I wish there were more just like it! Not all sports are offered for all ages, but we were able to supplement with sports outside of school. Teachers/staff really do care about behavior and learning, not just passing tests and are conscientious and invovled with the children.
This school has a high level of academic strengths, as well as being diverse. Students are expected to adhere to rules. It also has a good sports program so kids are well-rounded.
