I go to St. Francis. I am 8 years old and I love it. It is like my home away from home you get so many opportunities and you will never want to leave.

My three children attend the Primary School at St. Francis that starts at 18 months. Without a doubt it is the best preschool learning environment in the City of Houston. My children enjoy drama, art, music, gross motor, Spanish and chapel every week. This is not a mother's day out program; it is a true academic setting with loving teachers and a rich array of experiences. Their summer camp is a hit as well. I love the emphasis on interweaving the Reggio philosophy into the instruction which focuses on creativity, problem-solving and working with others to find a solution - all skills that are invaluable through out life. I highly recommend St. Francis and the biggest challenge is getting in. The parent community is very supportive.

You must be confusing this school with Kinkaid. I have never seen this and in fact quite the opposite. This is a wonderful and challenging environment in which our children learn and coming from public school I can absolutely tell you that St. Francis teaches at least a grade level ahead. It's an amazing difference how much better the teachers are equipped to teach.

St. Francis is the most kind, nurturing environment anyone could ever want to be in. I went there from Kindergarten to 8th grade and fell in love. The small atmosphere allowed me to connect well with my teachers who still remember me today. I highly recommend this school and once you come, you will never want to leave

I am a Grandmother of 2 children at St. Francis. My grandchildren absolutely love their school & I am extremely pleased with the education they are receiving in a loving atmosphere.

We came from public school to St. Francis a year behind, so I don't what the other review is about. I've heard the same from others that came in from the public system. I think it's a great and challenging school that moves at a very fast pace. Discipline problems are frowned upon. My son's a high energy clown and has had detentions, but they aren't forcing him out. He deserved it. He's not a 'box' kid, they with him. The math is very advanced, the science far exceeds what is given in public and the arts are incredible. Christianity is not forced but used as a giude, but I haven't experienced any 'Un-Christian like' behavior from any of the staff. I'm glad we made the change to this school. The small class sizes and challenging work, the art, music and drama has made all the difference for my son.

My son went to St. Francis for 3 years and we were very happy to leave. Christianity is used for marketing purposes only - they definitely don't practice what they preach. The academics are below what public schools offer, particularly in reading. They will force a child out who is not 'in the box' using whatever means necessary.

Incredible education and a kind learning enviroment. The children in this school are excited about learning and are taught to think outside the box. Strong discipline and morals are a primary part of this school.

I went to St. Francis kindergarten through 8th garde, and I found it to be quite sub-par. Not only was I extremely unprepared for high school academics, but the cushy, sheltered environment I found to be in sharp contrast to the real world. The teachers were kind yet too lenient; it was practically impossible to fail a single course with all the rule-bending and forgiveness. Not only is the school lacking diversity, I found the atmosphere to be overly conservative, homophobic and intolerant of other religions and races. I highly recommend avoiding this school, not only due to the lack of academic preparation, but also due to the negative values it will teach your child.
