This school is very deceptive. It rants about the loving nature of the school community but there is rampant bullying that the teachers ignore and is not successfully addressed at the administrative level. Academics are lacking as most of the focus seems to be on "love" and "understanding" and not on discipline and regulated education. Many of the teachers are inexperienced and unable to provide an academically focused environment. I am a very disappointed parent that wasted time and money at this school - to my child's detriment.
A loving, caring, Christian environment that not only excels academically, but also teaches children to respect and love Jesus, their families, friends, and community.
Trinity Lutheran is an excellent school, very loving and nurturing environment for all kids in the school. The kids all know each other by first name and the older kids make the younger kids feel very special, when the call them by name. My three kids attend Trinity, the youngest is at the children's center which makes the drop off extremely easy for us in the morning. The teachers are very loving to all kids and have been there for several years, so all kids will have been taught by the same teachers, very stable environment.
We are very thankful to have chosen this school for our two sons. It has been a blessing to them as well as our family. Examples: 1) We have joined the Church, and now have a church home. 2) The kid's grandmother participates in the Math enrichment program (Mathcart) which has allowed her to have a closer relationship with our kids. 3) Some of the School activities take place as part of the Church's program: Youth Choir, Wednesday Night Youth Program, etc. Academically, it made a tangible difference in our son's enjoyment of reading through its Accelerated Reading Program. Musically, our boys can play instruments, due to it's strong band program. Athletically, it has encouraged my boys to compete in a positive manner. In summary, I am very happy that my boys have been at this school for the past 5 years, and look forward to the next 3.
One of Houston's best kept secrets. Small numbers, safe environment. Small size does keep it from having extra help or advanced classes, but we've been happy with it and am glad we stayed.
Trinity is a wonderful school. My daughter has been attending for 4 years, and it's like a small family - all the kids know one another, and play and learn together. The teachers are excellent, and truly enjoy teaching.
This school was radical. Great friendships were built, and the fact that most of us went to the same church was an added bonus. Overall Good place, great lunch program.
So much has been added to this school since my child graduated 3 years ago, that I almost feel she needs to return and get the benefits that are offered now in a private school. I liked the small class setting.
Trinity Lutheran School provided an excellent education for my first child and is doing the same for my second. After completing 1st through 8th grade, my oldest applied and was accepted to an honors and advanced high school program. Trinity provided her with excellent English skills and a good math foundation. My youngest is now reaping the benefits of an added Music Conservatory and Accelerated Reading program that has spurred him onto becoming an avid reader. Combined with a qualified and caring staff, I appreciate the teachers and this school and their committment to my children.
