We have two sons at The Regis School, and are now in our fifth year. We have experienced all three divisions of Regis- Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School, and could not be more pleased with the education our sons are receiving. The teachers our sons have had are fantastic. They are devoted to teaching in an academically challenging and nuturing environment. One of our sons loves the math classes while the other cherishes the sports programs and wonderful friends he has made due to the small class sizes. Regis has a new Headmistress who has brought a contagious new life to the school ,while nuturing the Sacred Heart values the school was built on. We would highly recommend Regis to any family looking for a school that emphasizes faith, academics, leadership and service.

I have had children at The Regis School of the Sacred Heart since 1998. Many of the teachers have worked at Regis since my children started there. Teachers contact me at home through e-mail or phone calls to discuss my sons' progress on a regular basis. My eldest son just finished 7th grade at Regis. He took the SAT as a 7th grader and scored better than I could reasonably have expected. Regis s faculty, its programs, its curriculum, and its focus on each child s well-being have instilled in him and in my younger son the confidence to seek academic recognition, to excel in athletics, and to stand tall in any group. Most Regis graduates choose to attend Strake Jesuit or St. Thomas High School. Both of those institutions are well respected in Houston, and I know from personal experience that Regis students are welcomed and excel at both schools. 20% of the scholarships for incoming freshmen which St. Thomas High School awarded for 2006-2007 went to Regis graduates. Historically 100% of Regis graduates have been accepted at their high school of first choice. If your son needs a well rounded, academically advanced, faith based education, he ll get that at Regis.

Regis prepared my son beaitifully for one of the premier high school's and a prestigious college. He has done well in both. He thoroughly enjoyed the athletic in school and after school programs and received stron foundations in soccer, basketball, and rugby. He was not here in the lower grades so could not take advantage of their after school sports programs. The teachers and administration were outstanding, highly committed and capable, and have a very strong work ethic. They were very caring and nurturing, and they also disciplined with a loving firmness. The safety and discipline were outstanding. I can honestly say that I could not have asked for a better school for my son. All of the graduates got into the high schools of their first choice, and they continue to do so.

Regis: outstanding school; excellent academics, athletics, and a great track record for preparing students to be accepted into the high schools of their first choice. They then go on to premier colleges and universities. K-4 has soccer, basketball, and baseball. 5-8 plays soccer, basketball and rugby. They were rugby state champs for two years, and they were the only school to be champs in varsity and Jr varsity at the same time. Their laptop program is fabulous. Students who cannot afford them are provided with financial aid or given a loaner for each year needed. I feel sorry for those parents who did not have a good experience. They obviously did not know all off the details about the school, which is unfortunate. The community spirit at Regis is outstanding. We parents feel very close to one another and very much a vital part of the school. I highly recommend Regis.

The Regis school has outstanding academic programs and completely prepares the boys to enter the private High School of their choice. Middle school is started in 5th grade instead of 6th which is an advantage over other private schools. Small class sizes offer individual attention when needed. Regis is also recognized by the Michael Gurain institute, which specializes in how boys and girls learn differently. They know how to teach boys. Regis offers baseball, basketball, Rugby and soccer. It's an awesome school!

Our son graduated from Regis in 2004. He was extremely well-prepared for high school and has consisitently made the Honor Roll. His Regis classmates have also performed similarly in their high schools, many earning Academic Awards for highest averages in the school. Our son has competed in sports in high school at the JV and Varsity levels and honed his athletic ability at Regis. He learned good sportsmanship and to be a hard competitor while at Regis. The self-confidence and ability to converse easily with adults that our son learned while at Regis have served him well in academic and social settings. Finally, there is no finer school than Regis for a parent to have as a 'partner' in raising a child with a strong moral compass and keen social awareness. I would recommend Regis without reservation to any parent of a boy PK-8.

I moved my two sons to Regis to prepare them for high school. I found that academically it is far superior to any of the Catholic Parish schools. They are 1 year ahead in math now and their test scores for Independent Schools went up dramatically. The way the techonology is integrated into the classrooms means they produce a much higher quality product for each of their classes. Best of all - they are in an environment where the students, teachers and parents are living out the Sacred Heart mission. Their hearts are open and loving each and every day. If you want your son to have a top notch education, but also want them to have kind hearts this is the school for you!

Our family attended a community Catholic school for six years. We found that there was 'more' out there in a school for our son. We went to tour Regis and immediately fell in love with the Sacred Heart goals and the postivie atmosphere that the school had! The teachers are very compassionate and they care for students on an individual basis and do not compare your child to another in the same class or school. The sports program is terrific and very rewarding. My son played on the JV basketball and the JV Rugby team his first year there (5th grade) and truly enjoyed playing for the same coach. The positive enviornment that Regis provides each student is 'second to none.' Moving to Regis for Middle School was the best thing that our family has done for our son. Level of parent involvement is superb!

We are ending our 5th year at Regis and could not be happier than we are. When we into Regis the first time, we knew we were home. Regis is an all boys independant Catholic school. It is a loving environment that teaches to the child. The academics are challenging and classes are taught in a manner best suited for boys. First and foremost, Regis is a Sacred Heart school, but accepts boys of all faiths. I must disgree with two previous comments, which fail to recognize the many offerings of the school. While there are 3 official Middle School sports, there are also other organized sports opportunities beginning in Kindergarten. Also, there are other after-school-activities offered: piano, chess, karate, art, and others. I am sorry their experiences were not good, but it seems they were not aware of what is actually available. I hope they give Regis another look.
