This is our child's first year at Wesley and we could not be happier! The small classroom gives her plenty of one-on-one time with her teacher; resulting in her progressing in reading faster than anticipated. Wesley also encourages and provides plenty of opportunities for parents to be involved in school related activities. We love Wesley Academy!

Wesley Academy is a wonderful small private Christian school. Both my children have attended beginning with the Mother's Day Out program. As a parent, it is important to me that my children are loved, nurtured and feel safe along with getting a good education. My children are happy. I could not ask for a better school!!

Wesley Academy has caring educators who are geared to working in a Christian Environment. They are accustomed to working with a diverse group of students of various ethnic backgrounds as well as learning abilities. They foster an atmosphere centered on Christian principles and on kindess/respect among students. My kids have been at Wesley for 6 years and have done well. The Classical Curriculum taught will prepare them much better for high school and college than many public schools would. They also are a good value for the tuition.

Wesley Academy is home away from home for our family. We've been a part of the school for the past 5 years (both of my young children attending since they were 1 year old). We chose Wesley because of the loving staff, its commitment to academic excellence and because of its environment where my girls are able to grow spiritually and in good character. The school's leadership does a phenomenal job and continues to make Wesley a first rate institution. We love the small class sizes, the diversity and the small town feel.

Our school is a faith-based, fun-filled, family oriented environment where each student can grow in their full potential spiritually and academically. The student diversity is good. Classroom sizes are good and Wesley continues to grow, expand in an area each year. Our Technology/Computer lab is up and doing great. Wesley prepares its' students for high school. We have one daughter still being taught and tested and our graduate is thriving in her high school in all areas. In leadership; student counsel, in her faith; leader on the Dominican preaching team, her service; mission trips and her studies; member of the National Honor Society. We are Wild About Wesley! Come Grow with us! It's a well kept secret...So grateful someone invited us!

Wesley Academy is an outstanding educational institution that develops its children into intellectual, well-rounded, Christian contributors to society. The school employs certified professionals that instruct our children through fresh educational strategies, Christian principles, relevant tools and state of the art equipment. I'm so glad we chose Wesley Academy for our daughter, you should too.

Wesley Academy is a great school for our daughter. The school and staff recognize every student is an individual. This is a nuturing environment. Even with her ADD/ADHD accommodation has been made. We are starting our third year. I only wish we had found this school earlier!

As a parent you want the best for your children, and this school is defiantly THE BEST!! We have been there for 3 years and currently have 2 of our children there. The staff, teachers and head of school are amazing!! Teacher to student ratio is low, so all students receive the best education possible!! Again the teachers are amazing, and you can see their love to every child!!!

Wesley Academey - I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Wesley Academy family because that is what it is - a family. The students recieve an excellent education taught by well prepared teachers in an environment of tender loving care. The smaller class sizes allow for more individualized attention per student. And it also invites teachers/students/families to interact and get to know each other - offering teachers the opportunity to attend to each students educational and emotional needs. I am especially happy with the state of the art technology program the children are introduced to at a young age. PE and the arts programs are another bonus to this school where these are being cut from public school curriculiums. My child is thriving with her eduction, involvment and friendships. I feel very secure taking my child to Wesley Academy because I know she is in the loving hands and watchful eyes of the teachers, administrators and Quillian counselors.

My son has been at Wesley Academy for 4 years. The teachers and staff are caring and have my sons best interest. The facility is top notch! It's Christian atmosphere and loving families make it a great place for my son and I. The fine arts department is great too!

This is our second year at Wesley and we love it! My daughter is getting a top notch education. The teachers are engaged and available. The class size is kept small which allows the children to be very close with one another. The parent participation for this class is wonderful, everyone is included and does what they can. Our family enjoys the participation of the church and Quillian center next to Wesley. This means lots of festivals and activities to enjoy with the children through out the year. My husband and I plan to have all three of our children attend Wesley Academy.

Wesley is located in Westchase Business District, at Beltway 8 and Richmond Ave. It sits on 20+ acres and is a beautiful campus. Walk in the school and you will immediately feel the warmth and caring that exudes from the school. I have had children at Wesley Academy for 13+ years now. Can't imaging going anywhere else. My children have both excelled academically because of the teachers that challenge the children to be the best they can be. My oldest daughter is now at public high school and is excelling academically because of the great foundation we received at Wesley. There had been some changes in administration the last few yrs, but they have strong foothold and are poised for growth. There is excellent leadership in the school. It is priced below almost all of the other private schools in the area making it a true gem!

I have worked at the school for 4 years now and couldn't be happier. Over the past several years we have had several changes in administration, but I am happy to report that we are in a great place now. The camaraderie between the faculty has kept the school on the right path and with our new admin team, we are thriving. I love seeing our students return with fantastic stories from high school and learning how we have changed the course of various students lives and choices that students have made based off of something they remember from their time at Wesley. The Lord is moving here, and we are truly blessed to be apart of the action.

Wesley Academy teachers care about their students and fully believe in helping them reach their full potential both academically and spiritually. We have been at Wesley Academy for 6+ years and will stay at Wesley until all our children have graduated from Wesley. Yes, Wesley has gone through changes and we have stuck with Wesley and given them our support through all the changes that have occurred, during this time the teachers continued to care about their "children/students" and never once gave up on the school or demanding the children learn to their full potential. Upon gradation from Wesley Academy the student is FULLY prepared for transition to high school. It is wonderful to find a school in which the children are family, not just students. The children are taught not to judge their fellow classmates and to accept them as they are.

Our son has attended wesley/FUMC ELC since he was 1 year old. He is now going in to Kindergarten in September 2013. He is thriving and loves his school. Wesley is inclusive, nurturing and most of all the teachers are there because they love the school. Most have been there a long tenure and the union at the school is palpable.

Our son just started his 6th year at Wesley Academy and we couldn't have him in a better school. Academically the school is a solid and sound place and the students get lots of positive, loving, nurturing and encouraging attention from both teachers and staff. Character building is another strong value of the school; our son is a happy, polite and outgoing child who easily builds friendships with both younger and older students, something the school encourages through reading buddy and cross age & classlines teaching systems or events. The smaller class sizes allow the students to focus on the core academics while in their home classroom and the cross class line events let them build plenty of friendships and develop socially. As a family with two parents working full time outside the household the Quillian Center is another God sent facility; after school, summer camp and youth sport programs provide our son with a safe and fun place to be after school with good friends under professional and loving supervision. Wesley Academy is small enough to feel like family and large enough to give the students a top noch education. Teachers, staff, students and parents all feel at home.

I'm a bit confused with some of the negative reviews on this wonderful school. I attended Wesley academy way back in the day, and although I realize things change and staff/teachers come and go, the school itself stands on fantastic principles. The teachers were very loving and after coming from a large public school (and having a horrible experience) the teachers really took me under their wings and helped me make a smooth transition. I felt loved, cared for, and special. I had a fantastic relationship with the teachers, and still very often visit my former teachers. I believe that Wesley Academy helped me become the young woman I am today, and I am so incredibly grateful.

We love Wesley Academy. For us it is a warm and safe place for children and their whole family. My daughter goes to Wesley for almost three years and my son for one and a half and we are glad we found Wesley back then when we moved from Europe to Houston. Wesley is a real rainbow school: many different kind of people with different backgrounds and from different cultures, so the children can learn from each other and they accept and respect each other. We are looking forward to another great schoolyear in a warm and safe environment in which each child is supported and challenged to develop them in the best possible way academically, physically and emotionally.

Wesley is an amazing school community. We have been a Wesley family for 4 years-- and are looking forward to our fifth! Wesley has remained true to its character through some leadership changes over the past few years. It is an academically strong, faith-based school with the best teachers around. I have a background in education, child developement and psychology and I am impressed by what Wesley has to offer its students and families. There is a true sense of family at this school. Wesley Academy is small enough to allow the teachers to focus on each child as an individual and to meet their needs academically, socially and emotionally. The teachers are excellent- they are warm, caring professionals who challenge each child to reach his or her maximum potential. The students who leave Wesley Academy are fully prepared for the next step in their education. Parents are a key part of Wesley Academy. Parents are not just "tolerated" but warmly welcomed to be participating partner along with the teachers and administrators in the school environment.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
