I am very comfortable with the Medical Center Charter School/Soutwest. I would like to see the students do more science activities. I wish to thank the fourth grade teacher Mrs. Henry for helping my daugther to improve in all areas of her school work. The principal, staff, and the teachers are a wonderful group of people. Thank you.
My name is Blessing Igbokwe, a parent of a Kindergartner and a 1st grader with Medical Center Charter School Mullins St. We have been in the school for 2 years now and plan to continue because my children have improved significantly in their education and conduct, and my 1st grader the President's awards for academic excellence including other awards and her brother is not left out, thanks to the close attention of the teachers. I would like the school to do some field trips, sports, practicals etc and retain their good teachers. Medical Center Charter School is good, and there is aways room for improvement
I have three children that attend medical center charter school. Two boys and a girl, i can honestly say the staffs and teachers are doing a great because i see the result in my children. Great job!
My daughter's teacher was outstanding. For what I could see the students were always being challenged. She has homework everyday and is always intrigued to learn more. I think that extra cirricular activities would be a plus with all that the students learn it wouldn't hurt for them to have an activity outside of class to enjoy. I would like to see a field trip here or there also.
To Whom It May Concern: Dear Sir/Madam: I Lhuona Schorlastica, a parent of four students in the Medical Center Charter School. In fact I am one of the happiest parents in this world. The reason is because my children are in the Medical Center Charter School. Frankly speaking, MCCSchool is a school for home brought-ups. Any parent that has a child or children in MCCSchool will tell you that whenever you any parent go to the school for their children it makes them feel very special and on top of the world. The components of what the children do and how they are cared for makes a parent feel that they are in the best school for their children. In fact. the Principal of this school Ms. Monica Jolivet is really doing a great job in the life of our children in MCCSchool together with their teachers. Thank you
I have 3 children that attend Medical Center Charter School (a 3rd grader, a 1st grader, and a pre-schooler). My kids have attended this school since my oldest started kindergarten. My youngest was having extreme difficulties adjusting and the teachers as well as the principal were very understanding and caring. My 3rd grader and 1st grader are testing well above their grade level. The devotion of the teachers and staff is outstanding.
To whom it may concern: This is the best school for my child. I really wish mccs went up to the 12th grade. My daughter has been going to mccs since she was in pre-k3 and until this day she still loves it. Not only does she lorve the school, but she also loves the teachers and the principal as well. Thank you very much mccs
My daughter is going to this school. My brothers S.daughter is also going to this school. My daughter will be in grade 1 next fall and his S.daughter will be in grade 2. some of the things I noticed about the school arethat the quality of education is not the same throughout the school. last years and this year my brother's S.daughter used to have home works evrery day. She was intensively being educated. I was expecting the same would happen to my daughter this year. But she very rarely had homework once in a week. The other thing is that the school has classrooms shortage. It intrigued me how students from grade 1 to 6 learning in a single room. I sometimes could not believe this is realy in America. There are schools way much better than this one in the third world. I advice parents to think about it.
My oldest son has been attending this school for almost three years. He has learned alot. In kindergarden he is mastering multiplication. The academics are impressive. I also like the fact that they try to challenge the children. The only thing that is not impressive about the school is out of the time my son has been there, every year they have a mostly new staff. Also the children do not participate in field trips. There are not many activites planned for the kids such as fun days or graduations. I also do not like that the uniforms do not include shorts. Overall, my child has learned alot. I have decided to enroll my three year old this year.
I liked this school. My child is in pre-k and he learned so much from his exceptional teacher. We were so sad when she left over an unfortunate incident about a child. She doesn't deserve the way she was treated. She has been an inspiration for my child and I hope all teachers are like her.
This is the most horrible school that there could possibly be in charter school system. My son was not even able to play on the playground that is built only for the Saint Nicholas Children which consists of about ten 8 mo.-2 yr old. The principal is not proactive and very rude. I walked into the classroom and found my son's teacher shoving another kid and screaming LOUD, when I reported it my son was punished on a daily. Horrible cirriculum and segregated classes. They stay in the class for brkft, lunch. Stay away.
My son attended this school for a very short period of time. In this time my son never had any homework, and they have cruel and unusual punishment for the students. They are also very strange about letting parents go to the classrooms during the day like something is wrong in the back. And the teachers do not keep there appointments with the parents when you schedule one. This school is very unacceptable. Please keep your children away from the Mullins Campus.
My daughter attends the Mullins campus, and I must say that I am not impressed at all with this school. My daughter has been in daycare since she was 9 mo. old. Although the daycare she was attending had a pre-k program, I decided to take her out to get her ready for classroom setting. I must also say that My daughter learned more at the daycare she attended than at the school she is at now. The quality of the academics are not impressive, she is actually regressing in her academics, they don't give out homework, and every day when I ask her what she has learned, she tells me the same things everyday. So overall, I am not pleased with this school at all and would not refer anyone to enroll their children there.
I would like to note that the appearance of the facility is very unattractive, and seemingly unclean. (i.e. old, throw-away coaches, poorly lit corridor, etc).
