The school tries to do the very best with the little that Aldine gives them to work with. My daughter is dyslexic and required not only help with her reading and writing but with math as well..Aldine had no program or allowance for this but the school counselors, admistrators, teachers did their best to get my daughter extra help and 'pull out' sessions she required. I haven't seen enough text books brought home, I believe that this is due to Aline ISD requiring their schools/teachers to teach to the TASK test and our students are missing out on a full academic education. My husband and I are currently researching other options including paying out of district fees to get our children into Tomball ISD and pvt schools. Aldine is the only reason this school isn't one of the best in town, teachers and Admin staff def care and have what it takes.

This is my son's first year at Harris Academy. My son's teacher is an fine teacher from what I have been observed so far. But, at the start of the school year I had a concern with the foreign language program. I enrolled my son in Harris because he was to take Spanish as his foreign language. I was informed by him that he was not taking Spanish but German. I later was told that the Spanish class was full because of the bilingual students. I found that to be absurd in a Foreign Language class. So, eventually he was put in Spanish with some pushing. Every Student should be treated fair, and equal and the same opportunities should be given to each student.

Hi Im Stephanie Gomez. I was a student at Harris.I now live in another city though. I loved that school. It showed me everything I needed to know. I love the teachers. The teachers made that school fun.The teachers were awesome and helped me with stuff I needed to know. And people who think the school is bad needs to rethink thier opinion.

The curriculum at this school is excellent. My kinder student is reading at almost a 2nd grade level. Her teacher, however, does not seem to care about the kids. I have met with some of the other teachers and they are more oriented on the children. This school has an excellent language program that all students are involved in. They teach practical skills for business. There does not seem to be much parent involvement at all. The activities involving parents are in the mornings during work hours and later in the evenings 7pm. Notices are often sent home after the event has happened or on the day of the event allowing no time for planning.
