My child completed one academic year of her school at BCS, and is now looking forward to attend school as a 7th grader. For us it had been an exceptional experience, and specially considering the level of Public schools in and around for 6,7 and 8th graders BCS is doing a great job.

Despite it's relative lack of extracurriculars and electives the all pre-AP teaching staff at BCS has been outstanding, personable, and the main reason to attend the school. However, the school is now changing dramatically. The 6th grade will now be coupled with 5th as part of lower school. The 7th/8th grade middle school is losing all but 2 of the teachers who made the middle school so successful and such a joy. A new principal will start in the fall, so it's hard to predict what the school culture will be like. We hope the new teaching staff (math, language, science, and theater) will be at least as good as the old but it's all quite disconcerting. And sad. Especially considering this is our son's final year at this school.

I really like the small classes and private school feel of the middle school- I would feel good recommending this school to anyone who wants a small, caring middle school for their child.

My child attended BCS from 6 - 8 grades. The level of educational excellence offered is exemplary. The principal is very hands-on, very involved. The teachers, particularly in math and science are superb. I highly recommend this school as it has inspired my child to aspire to great career goals.
