My nephew will come to study 7 grade

My nephew who was born on March 8,1994 in China. he and his mom will come Houston with Green Card in coming February. He would like to start at 7 grade. What documents will be needed for him administration at any middle School in Houston. Would you please answer my qustion by private message. Thank you very much and Happy New Year.

Does your nephew speak any English? He should really be in 9th grade, so I don't know how the schools will decide if he should really be placed in 7th. You should phone the school district nearest to where they plan to reside, and ask them directly. He will probably need proof of where he is living, an official birth certificate, and copies of medical records showing his immunizations are up-to-date.
