Hi folks,
We are moving from VA and looking for a great high school in Houston area for my daughter who is going to 9th grade. We like a safe school with strong academics and not too much drama. Any suggestion?

The Woodlands HS
The Woodlands College Park
Clear Lake HS

Is Any of these good?

Thanks!

Sharon

All of those selections are great schools. The Woodlands is a very nice neighborhood, but traffic into Houston on I-45 is a drag during rush hour. >_< Some other great choices would be:

-Clear Brook High School (in the same school district as Clear Lake). I graduated from Brook several years ago and it's a great school with lots of programs

- Friendswood High School: wonderful academics, but very VERY competitive

- Kingwood High School: outstanding school in a very beautiful neighborhood.

I hope this helps. The best of luck to you and your family :)

although larger schools have some advantages I have learned that smaller schools offer more. My step-daughter just graduated from Splendora High School with 21 College credits for they offer dual credits and encourage, as well as being able to offer more one on one with students.
