i have heard very bad things about this school. it sounds like the teachers are very rude and just give the students work, alot more than they need. my friend has been in fights for no reason and she gets picked on alot. she comes home crying and i'm scarred for her safety.
I currently attend Humble Middle School and it is not a great place for anyone to attend. Most Teacher's 'Favor' and scream at kids hoping for them to get their work finished. I am in 8th grade and Yes, I've met alot of great friends here, But, It seems like they just shove work in your face and say 'Get to work or come to tutoring.'
I would pay more attention to bad reviews than good. Only because people do write their own reviews. I have a daughter that has been there for almost 3 years. The new principal is ridiculous, we like the last one they had. I have a friend who has two boys there and had some issues. I would say Humble is better than most but too many kids not enough teachers and dont get enough one on one and yes some do yell at the kids.
My daughter is a 6th grader at this school and we have had a bad experience here. She has complained that the teachers yell at the students. I spoke with one of the counselors who confirmed that other students and parents have complained of the same thing. There are so many kids that are rough, rude and out of control, that the teachers asume that all kids are that way. My kid is afraid to ask for help. When she was absent and had make up work, the teacher sent her to do work during lunch. The teacher over seeing the class for 'zero-lunch' wouldnt help her when she had a question or provide a text book. I have to go to the school on a regular basis to get questions answered because only 2 of her 6 teachers would return emails or phone calls. We are moving.
Humble Middle School is great, I am a student there and am hoping to finish my 8th grade year there. I have made great friends, met and been around outstanding teachers and principles there. There is no better middle school.
They have the best teachers in humble middle school and priciples students.
Statistics don't tell the whole story. I've always found the administration and the faculty to be hard-working and student centered. The school has its share of problems that seem typical of a middle school with a diverse population. My children have always been challenged academically, and they both have opportunities that extend their learning through extracurricular activities.
Well my greatgrand daughters go to this school and they really good and really enjoy it but of all the things they tell me about what goes on I think that the need better discipline.
My daughter studies in 8th grade. She is learning lot and getting lot of exposure through theatre arts. Ms. Alexander is a real teacher, work hard with students.
I think that Humble Middle School is a great school. The teachers are working very hard with the children to get them ready for their next grade. They are very good with the safety and discipline at the school.
