I was sadly dissapointed since it is a small school. This school needs more staff who really care about all the kids. They refuse any changes. They are trying to keep the whole school small.

I am surprised to see the academic rating, as the school work my child brings home is a full grade level behind where she was at a previous school. The staff is friendly and I appreciate the small class sizes. Socially and academically the district seems behind the times. One of my children had a hard time adjusting at a more demanding school so the move has been very good for her and I like the fact that there is not much pressure to dress a certain way or 'be popular' in this more laid back environment. The down side is that expectations while exceptable, are not as high as I would like. Overall the good outweighs the bad.

We researched schools before we changed towns and Sam Rayburn is the best. Administration and faculty care about the students and have very high expectations from all of the students.
