I do not like the school at all. When i moved to katyisd i was thinking my child was going to get a good educations,Wrong, there priority at this school is bilingual student. I think that they should ask parents if they want there child to go a bilingual school. My thing is every child should be a priority and not one set of children. All i can say is katyisd am so disappointed in you.

Excellent school. We just had our second annual science fair. I believe we are the only elementary school in our area that has a science fair! It was a positive experience. The teachers are very caring and go the extra mile.

Mrs Keith is a top first grade teacher! I am upset she is leaving. Wherever she goes, she will make a positive impact. She is perfect for any grade, but I hope she will always shape the kids early (we need more like her). I am sorry to here she is going as I would have asked for her for my second child!!! Excellent teacher! Katy parent

Fielder teachers are tops in our book. We have always had experienced teachers with many years of experience. We like the personal attention that has been paid to our students' personal needs. The administrative staff is in need of a change. We would like to see individuals leading the school who are creative, passionate and hard working.

This school actually sent home fundraising materials with my diabled son (he can't speak) I thought the front office people to be very rude and disrespectful. My child's teacher (special needs) was inexperienced. glad we're gone!

I recently moved from an ESL school in Katy which is certainly lower on the economic level, yet offers more programs for the children such as Chess 2 days a week before school. Spanish three days a week after school plus Violin during school hours. These are all programs managed by on staff teachers not outsiders brought in. At Fielder there is a lot of money brought in by fundraisers more than you can imagine. For some reason they cannot justify any specialized programs. I have spoke with the staff and they use the money for books and computers and more p.e. equipment. Which says isn't that what our tax dollars are for(?)Currently there are outsiders coming in 1 day a week for spanish and chess is available to players on the average of 8 times during the school year. Sure the education is good yet no better than the ESL school.

They need to institute the AR reading program. Every other school in KISD participates, but not Fielder. The teachers don't seem very happy and take it out on the kids.

Fielder Elementary has been a wonderful learning environment for my children who began their academics in Montessori School. The staff is committed to supporting the students and parents in any way they can. My soon to be third grader even has school spirit which was unheard of for elementary school when I was growing up. It just feels safe! (Not to mention there are 3 computers in every classroom)

Fielder Elementary only provides the best in teaching and achievement of each child. I am privileged that my daughter is able to attend such an exemplary school.
