The staff is very involved with the students and really work hard to see them succeed. My child attends this school and honestly, this is an excellent school that doesn't get much recognition from KISD & the community. I guess because it's not '7 Lakes' or Cinco Ranch!! Again awesome school with REAL educators!

I have to agree with parent posting July 24, 2008. I only wish that we could see more pictures and editorials in the Katy paper on our children. McDonald JH not only has a great principal, teachers and staff but some incredible kids. The volleyball team was amazing last year, the choir has such talented young singers, the football team has some boys that could go very far and the National Junior Honor Society has the best mix of backgrounds to bring it all together. Looking forward to 2008/2009!!!

This school is far and away the most outstanding JH in this District, as evidenced by the FACT that it is the ONLY school in the District to be RECOGNIZED 5 YEARS IN A ROW! The faculty and staff are VERY involved with the success of the school and the Principal is tremendous at allowing them to do their job without micromanaging them to death. He is a hard and tireless worker as well and doesn't ask anything of his staff that he wouldn't do hisself, including working lunch duty and pushing around a movable trash can! The front office staff exhibits nothing but professionalism in their parent/customer relation skills. As a parent, I love the fact that I have gotten phone calls from teachers and staff reporting good things and positive achievements instead of constant negativity.

It is a good school there can be some improvements but overall the school is very good. My child is on sudent council and she loves her school and its imperfections. I would recommend this school to antone who was looking for a new school to send their child to.

I think that McDonald Junior High School is a wonderful learning insititution for my son and I am proud of the accomplishments he has made there in the last two years. The teachers are extraordinary and the leadership there is great. Teachers actually call me to let me know my son has accomplished something good, and that in this day and age is a blessing to me. I appreciate the faculty and assistants at McDonald and I hope that when he moves to High School in year after next that my son will have teachers like the ones he has at McDonald.
