I am devastated after my son has been there for a few months since we moved here from another state . He liked the new school in the beginning, then he kept complaining, saying the teacher did not like him. I went to talk with the teacher and she told me you kid is smart , but we would have to give chances to other kids. I guess that is because my son likes to answer the questions in the class which some how irritated her. Later on I talked to my son to see what exactly what happened and he told me that he just tried to answer questions when no one could answer it or just did not want to answer it. My son used to be a top student at his previous school and no one had complained about him, now he just could not thrive here. He started getting marks (which means bad behavior at classroom). It has been a nightmare to us. I agree the parent involvement at this school is excellent and I joined the PTA as well and volunteer there as much as I can. But that teacher just does not know how to handle the kids in my opinion.
I am very pleased with this school. The teachers are wonderful, and my kids love them.
We moved to Katy from Denmark and I simply can't say enough wonderful things about this school. My experience with the administration of the school - and especially Mrs. Cynthia Hyde - was nothing less than outstanding. The ESOL teachers Mrs. Riecks and Mrs. Schreiber did more for our children, than we could ever hope for, which did also all the other teachers, whom we concider very experienced and caring. The JWE Spirit is alive, because of the fantastic staff and the impressive parent involvement. I feel blessed, that my three children had the opportunity to attend this wonderful school. We're now back in Denmark and we miss it dearly.
Very displeased with the administration - especially the principal. Counselor is not experienced in any circumstances outside of the 'norm'. If a person moves in from another location being accepted will be difficult. Some of the teachers are very good and some are very bad and sarcastic - not appropriate at any level, but especially not lower school.
We researched the area extensively and deliberately chose a house in the James E. Williams attendance zone. I'm pleased to report that the reviews here were right on target--this is an absolutely top flight school, with a caring and hardworking faculty and staff and amazing parental involvement. Our daughter attended a private school previously, and Williams outperforms that school in every way. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
We moved here from Louisiana, and I could not be more impressed with this school. From the principal, the teachers, the staff, down to the parental involvement, it deserves the 10/10 rating it's got. All three of our school-aged kids got paired perfectly with teachers and I hope to be at JWE for many years to come.
This is an Excellent School, Great Teachers, Parents have great spirit, everything is in order and polished. My child really enjoy going to school everyday.
My boys went to school at Williams when it first opened and now they are in high school! I now have a kindergartener at Williams again and I was pleased to see so many familiar faces still at the school including principal Lee!
Great school. My kids attended for 2 years while we lived in katy.
My kids moved to JEW from England, after a brief stop at Hunters Creek and they really like it. They have made lots of friends, done really well with there grades and no longer miss 'home' at all. Good staff, good facilities and a well run school
