Hi i transfered to this schoool for my 8th grade year and i have to say that i was not very impressed. The teachers are good but all of then are way to easy on us and i barrelly had to do anything to get a A in every class. The gym teachers would let us sit around and talk for the whole year and they never made us train for the mile run because we never had to run the tracK! We were completely unprepared! I would like to point out that here the race is mostly Mexican(not trying to be racist!) They don't take things very seriously, alot of drama, fights, rumors and all that nonsence! I found that completely RIDICULOUs! Kids are just crazy, no respect for anyone, and really don't want to learn! I don't know personallly i would not recomend this schoool but it depends=/

My son is in 7th grade. I am grateful for the teachers, administrators and staff at Morton Ranch Jr. High. They are always willing to go the extra mile for the students. I am especially grateful to Mr. Mackey- PreAP Science, Mr. Jones-Orchestra, Coach Monroe-Basketball, Ms. Brunet-PreAP TX Hist, and Ms. Horgan-PreAP Math for their outstanding teaching skills. Go Mavericks!

If you want a place in katy for your kids to grow and actually be educated, this school is not it. There have been several incidents of violent behaviour from troubled students that were disregarded by the school. There is a great lack of supervision from the staff and bullying is alive and well against boys and girls...Do yourself and your kids a favor and stick to the better neighborhoods like cinco ranch....we are leaving!
