I go to crjh and I like all of my teachers they are nice and very helpful.People always say bad things about cinco but I went to another school in katy last year and it was terrible. Cinco has great test scores and the principals are great .

Cinco Ranch Junior has been excellent for our child. Advanced classes are plentiful, extra stuff such as clubs and athletics are well run. For parents convenience the high school is next to this junior high so the same mode of attendance whether walking, riding bike, bus or dropped off by parents is very convenient for all seven years. Some junior highs in district are spread out and less convenient.

I don't really like this school the school is to small and the hallways are crowded every push each other thats why I want my son to go to wcjh that school is bigger and prettier also has nieces teacher and staff

I went to CRJH it was amazing loved the teachers and they way that they worked with the kids.They did thier best to make the student understand the meterials.

Cinco is poor compared to Seven Lakes. But it's pretty good because in KatyISD, we like to waste money and get new technology for students and fire teachers because we have no money left to fund stuff. Some teachers are great and some are just plain annoying. I can't wait for summer to come and to just get out of here! Quality of education is okay. High district scores, tons of homework, and we care more about grades than the actual quality of learning, which I think is dumb.

I love this school, the quality of education is amazing and the teachers couldn't be better. We have moved all around the country and this is our favorite school! They have amazing fine arts programs and extracariculars. GO CRJH COYOTES!

I go to this school and am in Cinco Symphony. It is a combination of Band & Orchestra. We are going to Chicago to perform at the Midwest Clinic as the only junior high full orchestra in the nation!The band program is amazing!

My daughter attended this school and loved it for the most part. The teachers are awesome and the coursework for pre-AP and algebra are awesome. The Algebra teacher, Mr. Pontius is by far the best Algebra teacher I have ever seen. He did a great job preparing our daughter for AP courses in science & math. We (and she) loved her Assistant Principal Mr. Roberts, he was so involved with the kids and really seemed to care about them.

My son loves his school and so do I. Teachers are involved and caring, going the extra mile both in the classroom and with extracurricular activities. Great music, theater, sports departments. Parents can contribute in many ways, either through PTA or by assisting the extracurricular departments. Administration is easy to work with for the betterment of your child. Lots of pride felt among both teachers and students...kids are encouraged to do their best and achieve the most they possibly can. Very positive atmosphere.

This school is newly build and has great parent support programs. The fine art programs are great, this school has a fantastic band program. My daughter had many teachers that encouraged her to develop her skills and talents, by submitting her work to contests. This schools 8th grade program includes may 9th grade level courses one of them is art. Alos the couselors take their time finding a good program for your child to preform well and continue to delevope to their fullest potential.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) was used to test students in reading and math in grades 3 through 8; in writing in grades 4 and 7; in science in grades 5 and 8; in social studies in grade 8; and end-of-course assessments for English I, II, and II, Algebra I and II, biology and US History. STAAR is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
