CVE is one of the best elementary schools in this area! The teachers were wonderful to my daughter, and was a great help when she was having trouble in one of her subjects! I know have my grandchild going to this school, and I couldn't be more proud! :)

Cedar Valley is a great atmosphere with a wonderful staff. My son was in Mrs Boswell's class in which she was strict in her ways but it works well for my son because he went to a MONTESSORI school where all this was taught early. The teachers and PTA do alot for the kids. My son enjoys his self and is learning with a good attitude. I think this school is better then alot of schools because their is compassion for the kids. THEY ARE ONLY KIDS ONCE and to GROW with them is the KEY! CEDAR Valley has that!

Experienced and friendly staff at this school. Teachers are involved and accessible to parents all the time. Lots of enthusiasm from both the kids and teachers shown throughout the school year! My son loves his school. It is a good combination of ethnicities in this school and the school pride is apparent. The kids are independent thinkers and the higher grade level students sometimes assist the lower grade students. Everything thing seems organized and you can tell the teaching staff is seasoned and intelligent!

CVES is an excellent school. My son is an "Army Brat" and when we first got to Killeen my son was in the 1st grade and couldn't read or write his name. Within a month he was writing his name and beginning to read. He now is in the 5th grade and has been on the honor roll every year. He is also reading at a 11th grade level!! CVES is a very disaplined school. The kids do not get much play time and it does resemble a little military school. But what your children get because of this is safety, disipline, and a great education. I highly recommend CVES to anyone!

My son attended Cedar Valley for Pre K and Kindergarten. Mrs. Boswell is the greatest teacher! My son LOVED going to school each day that he was in her class. We are sad to be moving away and leaving Cedar Valley! The school is very strict and it bothers some people but it worked very well for my son. GO DOLPHINS!

This school is awesome! I am only sad to leave the area and I hope to find another school as wonderful as Cedar Valley. The best teachers and staff, my son absolutely adores his teacher and the staff. I know this is a great school because teachers because my son learn to read only having in Kindergarten 2 months! Caring teachers with high expectations and a lot of confidence in their students giving my son a comfortable learning environment and plenty of room to reach his goals. Cedar Valley will be missed.

I'm very happy with this school. My child went here for Pre K, then we moved and came back when she was in Kindergarten. Mrs Camps and Mrs Boswell, have made an impact on my child's education and overall well being. I would highly recommend this school...

I absolutely loved this school! Sure, academics could be a little on the strict side, but do we really want our children's education to be lax and ho-hum? Personally, I'm glad the staff puts such high emphasis on academics. My daughter has excelled and become an excellent student because of it. She takes her school work seriously and knows what needs to be done and when. The school forces students to take responsibility for their actions.

My grandson absolutely loves CVES. His mother teaching within the district and he can attend the school where she teaches, but he prefers Cedar Valley. He loves the 'teachers, their classrooms, and the office people.' He says the bathrooms and cafeteria are clean, plus the kiddos take good care of their space. His favorite is the counselor, Ms. Carroll, who makes CVES the best place to go to school.

Cedar Valley is an excellent school. The staff has such a caring attitude and love for the students that attend. They work hard to meet the needs of the students by working closely with parents and setting goals that are achievable for the child. Embedded throughout the campus is a 'you can do it' attitude and 'we believe in you'. Students are guided to make right choices and to treat others with respect. No matter what learner walks through the door, all students are treated with kindness. In today's society, I appreciate the consistent expectations and goals established within the building. I have high expectations and aspirations for my child/ren and knowing that the school (where they spend the majority of the day) does too, makes me comfortable in the education that they are receiving. In summary, the school, teachers, and staff are a wonderful asset in my child's life.

If you have a child that have problems like ADHD this is not a school that will help you with him/her. School is way strict. The after school YMCA program is horrible.

It is a great school for children to be in. The teachers are very dedicated, the parental involvement is also great. The academic programs are on a very advanced level, keeping the children focused. Lots of homework

I like the school very much. The staff is wonderful. My son is learning so much. I do have a problem with the short recess time though. The kids, especially the younger ones, need more time to play and socialize.

My child attended CVES for three years. I found the school to be very goal driven; therefore, producing excellent academic results. Unfortunately, the drive to succeed often overlooked the fact that children need time to be children. The school was very strict. My child was okay with this, but I did see many students that suffered because of this.

my children attended CV for 3 years, after moving to another state, I can see a lot of differences. Although CV is a very strict, it does make a difference when it comes to respect from the students. This school year, they have a new Principal and Vice Principal, I am hoping that helps change some things in the school

My daughter is in kindergarten this year and she loves Cedar Valley Elementary. Both my husband and I feel that the staff do a great job. We chose to live in this area specifically because of the school information that I found on greatschools.org. We have had nothing but positive experiences with our daughters education.

I felt this was a very good school. It is very strict which provides for a safe and great learning environment. I felt well informed on how my child was doing, and what my child was doing. Katie

I have 2 children in CVE and one that graduated from the school 2 years ago. The teachers are exceptional and should be recommended for their efforts. My girls love the school and cannot wait to get to class everyday. No school is perfect but this school comes close.

Brought both of my children up through Cedar Valley. The Principal and the Teachers were always the highest quality educators. If you desire Discipline, focus on education, and great attention to safety CVE is a perfect school. I do wish they had paid more attention to the needs of the children for outside outlets of energy. I think it would have eliminated some of the feeling that they needed gestapo control all the time. But I would recommend CVE to anyone who is interested in being involved in their childrens education.

If the Principal would take more time in helping all the kids be it that there black or white maybe the school would be better . When you have a problem like such then your staff acts the same way . we all are the same just different color . we all want to learn but at the same time we want to be happy also .

This is our first year at Cedar Valley, having just moved to the area. We specifically bought our home in this neighborhood after doing a lot of research on elem schools. So far, we have not regretted our decision. We do look forward to having our younger children attend in the upcoming years!
