INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This school is by far the worst school I have come in contact with. If you are looking for answers, want to talk to the teachers, principle, or any other staff memeber forget about it. Trying to set up an apt with the principle has turned into a week of me calling and getting no response! seriouly look for another school if you are zoned for this one! It is AWFUL!!!!!!

If it were possible to give this school a zero I would. We are zoned for this school and I'll be looking into switching. From the beging this has been a hectic ordeal. The school my daughter came from was orginzes and told you everything you needed to know. This school is anything but orginzed. From meet the reached to the first day. People are not helpful and they don't even know how to answer your questions. My other children will not be going back to this school.

This is an awesome school. I like their intervention program where highly qualified teachers provide small group instruction to help with math and language skills. Since it's a small group, teacher will be able to focus on each student. This program is on top of homeroom instruction in the different core subjects. I highly recommend RCES to any parent who wants their child to get the best education in the Killeen area.

My son started this school year here for Pre-k. He loves and I enjoy being able to send him to a place that he enjoys being at. Ms. Lewis is the most wonderful teacher! She is very patient with my son, also Mrs. White is a great music teacher! I recommend this school to all!

My daughter attended this school for 2 years and we had a very good experience. She had great teachers and the staff were great. I did not like how strict they were with showing IDs every day in addition to signing a form daily to pick up students, but I guess in today's world, the security is worth it.

Although this is a decent school, my experience as a parent has been awful. Principal Taylor desperately needs to retire, quit or get fired; I don't care wich one. She's an awful person, by all accounts. The rest of the staff are wonderful. Very nice and considerate. Teachers are awsome, altho I fear many great teachers have left due to that horrible principle. I've had many unfortunate encounters with her, as I like to volunteer and visit with my kids. Good luck to anyone having to deal with her. I'm grateful I no longer have to.

Reeces Creek is the best school in my opinion in the area. This is my son's 5th year here and I would not have it any other way! The teachers really care about your student and actually go out of thier way to find out if everything is ok if they see something with your student come up at school. I love this school! My son is loving school and loves learning! Great school!! Keep up your caring heart that keeps teaching them soo much!

We CHOOSE Reeces creek to transfer to. I was not impressed with the administration at the school both my daughters were "zoned" for, so I had them in-districted transferred to RCES. The principal is very professional, admin always smiles, and the teachers take a genuine interest in the students. The school does several very cool things for the students, like "block parties" for grades levels, talent shows, faculty "follies", musical group, and knighting ceremonies based on values taught every month. The TAG program far exceeds my expectations. I really hope that the coming years our transfer is accepted. My children LOVE RCES, and I can't imagine a better school for my kids!

We had our son transferred to Reece's Creek from another school in the district because he has an IEP for severe articulation. At Reece's he has excelled and is on the A/B Honor Roll and his articulation has improved drastically!!!! He doesn't get bullied or treated like he's stupid like he did at his other school!!!! I recommend this school to anyone!!! Thank you to Reece's Creek for treating and educating my son like he's suppose too!!

My daughter attended this school for 4th and 5th grade. 4th grade was not a great year for her due to the teacher she had. The good news is that teacher is no longer with the district. 5th grade for her was awesome and has been her best year yet! Mr. Douglas was her teacher. He is amazing. Not only is he a strong teacher, but he cares about the kids and their success. He was nothing but supportive the entire year. If you have a child entering for 5th grade...fight to have him/her put in his class!!

My Daughter has attended Reeces Creek for 4 years and my son 2 years. They have both thoroughly enjoyed their teachers including the Music, Science, Computer Lab, and Physical Education Teachers. I like the fact that the teachers keep the parents informed of what is happening in the school with weekly or monthly newsletters of what the children are learning and of upcoming field trips, tests, or special occasions...like Choir performances by grade, or the Faculty Follies! Every year my daughter looks forward to the Science Fair in which each student 1st - 5th submit a Science project. She won 2nd place in her class one year! Reeces Creek staff including Front Office, Cafeteria, Teacher's Assistants, as well as the Teachers, Principal and Vice Principals make Educating children in a safe environment priority #1. We love Reeces Creek Coyotes!

My son and daughter goes to Reeces Creek and they really educate the kids. My son is A Honor Roll Student. My daughter had received awards and commended from TAKS.My older daughter came from Reeces Creek and i really thought she will have a hard time catching up because we came from Hawaii 2006 and there school curriculum is not great.I thought my older daughter will have a hard time but her teacher helped her,and she did received award and commended in TAKS.Now she is is Live Oak turning to be 7th grade. I do have my 2 children still attending Reeces Creek and i am glad there still in that school. My children teacher are wonderful and very helpful. Staff and Faculty are very friendly.I really recommend this school for the elementary. Thanks Reeces Creek staff.

Reeces Creek has been the BEST school ever. This was the 4th elementary school my son attended and I have nithing bad to say at all. My other son was in Pre-k and both of their teachers were excellent. I felt as if the teachers were friends of mine and not just my son's teacher. My son has been an A Honor Roll Student and my son in Pre-K did great as well. The office staff is soo friendly and always have huge welcoming smiles on their faces when you walk in. The principals are great too. Unfortunately we are moving out of town and I am sad to have to take my children out Recces Creek I will say that if my boys are not happy at the new school I WILL MOVE THEM BACK TO REECES CREEK! Way to go Reeces Creek Staff, you ALL have AWESOME!! Jennifer

The staff at this school is very helpful and friendly. I'm glad that my children attend this school. My children transferred to this school in January of 08 from Germany and I have to say that they have learned a lot since they started attending this school. My son has gotten numerous awards and has maintained being on the honor roll. His reading and math has improved. My daughter has went from a picky eater to eating whatever I cook and she loves trying new things now. When I first enrolled her into Pre-K, I explained to the teacher that she was a very picky eater and she told me that she would work with her curing lunch to make sure that she at least tries her food. To no avail, it worked and I'm so happy that my children will continue to attend this school.

Recces creek school has really helped get my children ahead. I have three boys in that school this year. My oldest is now going to 4th grade next year and has adhd. From the begining it was a real struggle for me, but the teachers and staff were very patient and worked with me everyday. Till today he has been an 'a/b' honor roll student and enjoys going to school everyday. My other two boys enjoy going to school, the teachers are very helpful and are always keeping me up to date on thier grades and behavior. The office staff has also been a dream. They have remembered every member of my family. This is a relief for me, since i know that they would not allow my child to go with anyone unknown. This year we were rezoned but me and my family will try to keep our kids here.

I am a teacher at Reeces Creek and also have a child here. We have never lived in KISD but I have always brought her to Reeces Creek. She is getting an excellent education here with super teachers, strong curriculum, spiraling, and opportunities for growth. Even if I did not teach here, I would tell others that this is a great school with a strong academic and extracurriculuar program.

My son went to this school during 1st and 2nd grades before we were unfortunatly rezoned. This school is very parent friendly and informative as to what is happening in the school. My son loved his teachers and was well educated. I miss this school very much this year.
