We have had some great teachers.Key word"some"The GT science and math teachers along with the P.E teacher andmusic teacher are very good at what they do.However, the things my child has been exposed to since coming here are ridiculous .Violence.Racist comments not only by students but also teachers.Sexually explicit graffiti and talk.Understandably, the behavior should be stopped at home, but if its not more needs to be done when it happens at the school.Try getting involved at the school and you can't get anyone to call you back.Questions? Good luck! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

My daughter went to this school and this is not a good school. All of the school districts in Kingsville are not good schools, and they say that its a safe school if this was a safe school nobody wouldnt be getting fights all the time. The teachers dont do anything about the problems they just dont care.

My daughter attended Gillett and did very good in its' honors program. She just graduated from HM King a Merit Scholar and received an academic 4 year scholarshop to attend TAMUK. It doesn't matter what school your children attend, parents need to stay involved and stay educated themselves; as long as their children are enrolled in any school. They, too, are enrolled in school!

Both of our children attended a private school in Kingsville from Pre-K through 5th grade. We were somewhat skeptical of the public school system, but both of our children excelled at Gillett and had wonderful school experiences. We found the administration, staff and teachers to be professional and helpful. The new facilities and advance technology are a huge plus! We would definitely recommend this school for your 5th or 6th grader.

Gillett is a great place to work, teach and send your children. The Staff is very cohesive and caring. The Current Principal allows us to express our input and gives us a respectful work environment. I have had two children go through this school, both have been the the top 10 rankings, one is about to graduate and go on to Medical School, the other will also graduate High School with honors. A lot of the foundation was given at Gillett Intermediate School--Thank you teaching staff.
