My granddaughter loved this school. She particularly liked the Accelerated Reader program and likes to read because the love of reading was instilled in her while she was at Harvey. This school has gone through a middle of the year move to a beautiful new building. Even through the change, I knew that she was in good hands. Thank you teachers for working with my granddaugher.

The old school was torn down. The new school will open January, 2011. There is a new staff and a new beginning. The staff that is coming to Harvey is the one that was at Lamar. Check out the Lamar ratings and you will have an idea what kind of school Harvey is now.

7 children have been denied special ed services through KISD....... their excuse is, they don't have the funding! Well that is NOT the children's fault. They have to by law to provide services to children..........This school needs to be thoroughly investigated for violating children's civil rights! I find out more children are getting denied, as time goes by. The school district should be ashamed!

We moved to Kingsville in time for my daughter to start Harvey. I found the teacher and the school very hard to deal with. The teacher refused to give my daughter work based on her ability, pointing out to me several times that my daughter could sit and wait till the other kids finished their lesson. My daughter came to this school learning how to read and found a class that was learning their ABC's in English. I got no where with the principal after I requested assistance with my issues regarding the teacher and her behavior toward my child (she was caught by another parent yelling at my child. I removed my child from Harvey and now pay tuition at a great private school that challenges my child. I would encourage parents to seek alternative schooling than Harvey!
