We are military. This school is as good as DODDS schools. The principal Mrs. Mirelles is the best, along with the teachers and everyone who make this a great school for our children.

Lamar has been a great experience for my daughter. This school provides computers for all the classes and has 3 computer labs. This is the best way to keep up with todays technology. PE really gets the students moving. My daughter is always talking what she did in class, p.e., library or computer. She just adores her teacher M.H. This school offers an afterschool library and computer program that is excellent for the students and parents. Lamar Elementary has a wonderful staff and principal. Every time I visit Lamar I feel very welcomed. I would recommend this school to everybody. I understand and appreciate the extra efforts made in keeping my daughter safe at all times. GO LAMAR MUSTANGS!

I had a son at Lamar Elementary and throughout his three years there, the quality of education he received was outstanding. The Accelerated Reading Program at Lamar encouraged him to take on reading full time and the incentives such as the AR Store, blue slips and treasure box all contributed to his desire to come to school and strive to be a better student. The faculty and staff made me feel comfortable leaving my son in their care.

Lamar is a terrific school. It has a wonderful and awesome staff who really care about the students and their well being. It is a family atmosphere and everybody cares about everybody there. My daughter is about to go to 1st grade next year at Lamar, and she has been here since she was in Pre-K 3 program. Lamar is absolutely the best elementary school around Kingsville. I would recommand it to anyone that has children.

Lamar is an innovative school that provided my child with so many programs to meet her needs. From the Accelerated Reader Program, to the extended library hours, to the Waterford Reading, Math and Science Program, they all helped my child academically succeed.
