If you're looking at middle school zonage... Here's your school. Creekwood (CMS) contains a mixed economic group (Low to Upper). The school has great teachers wanting to help the kids not just pass, but make exemplary scores. The administration is fantastic at their job, and keep the school running very smoothly. As for the kids, they are very well behaved (For The Most Part ;) ) and are challenged daily in their classes. The problem that people complain about at CMS is the curriculum, but what most fail to realize is the curriculum is taught based on what the state/district says to do. Teachers have little freedom/time to teach lessons not assigned by the district. What makes CMS better than Riverwood? Well, having kids who have gone to both schools, Riverwood is much more snobby than Creekwood. The economic classes are not as wide in difference and therefore if your kid does not have the latest and greatest expensive things, they will complain, and not be "cool." Both schools are excellent schools though, (that feed the same high school) but one is more diverse and a better environment, and that is.. Creekwood.

The school is amazing. My older daughter who is a Senior in high school went there from 6th - 8th grade and now my younger daughter is in 6th grade at Creekwood. The Principal Mr. Winicki is awesome with the students he is a great role model and leader of the school. The program is great - great band, great athletics, great teachers!! Test scores are high to prove the great work they are doing!

Nothing is perfect in life but CMS is close. It is close because if there is a problem, open communication with the teachers and staff is welcomed. As a parent you have to work with the teachers and if you are willing to do that, it is a FANTASTIC place. There is a place for every kid to fit in and if your child is GT, the RELA teachers here fight to keep that curriculum. AP classes aren't enough because there are kids who need the varied learning that this school offers. The extra clubs are wonderful too, from chess, to band to athletics and cheer. Your kid can find the right spot and everything has a value - not just football. Their focus on 'service learning' is wonderful as well. This is a top notch school!!!

I just finished school here at Creekwood and it was awesome! The teachers there are so nice and always challenge you to do your best. It's the perfect school to go to if your looking for challenging academics and fun all at the same time! The extracirriculars are amazing and so is the cheer squad. I would know, I was in all the clubs and I was a cheerleader myself! The sports teams are the best in the district and the coaches know when to push you and lay off; they become your best friends! I love Creekwood and I will definitely miss it. You rock Creekwood! Go Colts!

Creekwood, while an exemplary school, I believe is academicaly challenged. Some of it may not be their fault, they seem to 'teach to the test.' My child, A's and B's, does not understand how lessons connect and relate to each other, especially across subjects. Life applications of subjects and lessons are also missing. The faculty seems to be good, during school hours. I have many concerns about their special ed program. Trying to get help is extremely diffucult.

Creekwood is an excelent school on the outside. When you dig in there are some problems that need to be fixed. The school needs to be renovated AGAIN and maybe change the administration team. There are also some real burnouts as teachers.

Creekwood has just been renovated but it still looks bad. The assistant principals are not that involved and there are some real burnouts who need to retire. The band and things like that are really good but academically they could improve. They do not reall prepare the kids for Kingwood High as well as Riverwood Middle does. There is no disipline and they are wasting money on the positive reinforcement thing. The school needs to be renovated and new administrators. The school needs to do a lot in order to continue the tradition of exxcelence in Kingwood.

Creekwood Middle School is the best! The teachers are caring and it is a safe and friendly enviroment. The school's academic skill of teaching is the very best. They have been Exemplary for the past 6-7 years. The principals are really involved and talk to the kids in the halls. The counselers are really caring also. Overall the school is 5 out of 5.
