Great academics and great Catholic education... surrounded by loving teachers/staff and a supportive parish community. My children have been at school here for a long time and it is one of the best decisions we have made.
I was surprised when I read one of the comments from another parent as that's excatly how I feel. I thought for a moment I was alone....... Expectations for 3 year olds are not realistic and when you bring that up to their attention they get defensive about it and push the blame back on your child which is very innapropriate to say the least. Maybe they should take a harder look at their PK3 teachers. Very sad as my dream has always being to have my children in catholic school and unfourtunately this school is the only one available around my area. My 3 year old of course is not attending that school any longer........personal choice!! Would like to express much more in this review but I'm honestly afraid of any retaliation from the school towards my other child who is still attending the school.
I have two kids here, and was looking forward to sending my third. The academics are great, the environment is ideal, and kids seem to be above the average grade level. Unfortunately, I have found that the administration does take 'small' things too seriously. I believe in having high expectations for kids so they can thrieve, but their social skills expectations for 3 and 4 year olds are too unreasonable.
Teacher's are great, student body of great kids. Administration, and facilities present the kids with a quality learning opportunity. St. Martha's is very good experience and is well recommended.
The middle school isnt that great. The teachers are terrible at teaching and dont know how to handle us students. They take little things way too seriously but big things not seriously enough. the classes are way too small and do not prepare you for high school. the elementary school is very good, but i deffinatley do not recomend the middle school.
I have 3 children in St. Martha. The education level is far beyond any school and my children where in Porter Elementary the year before which is good too. St. Martha's is very strict though and has lifted the academic level of my children. A prayer is said every morning and before meals. God is brought back to school, something extremely important to a child's development. When God is in school their are morals, something our children cannot grow without. I am very Happy!!
We moved here & our children started in 9/03. We are very pleased with the administration, staff and experience here. My children are excelling, their education is excelling at or above grade level. They are very involved in a variety of activities offered by the school or an organization in conjunction with the school. Their teachers have been open, kind, helpful and respectful. Most of all, the discipline in the school is excellent. The children have clear expectations as to what is expected and the parents are always well informed. Most of all, I love the parental involvement, which is encouraged, to make a well rounded experience.
