My daughters loved it at first,,,, then my 9 year old daughter was being talked down to from her teacher, about a home work assignment that she forgot to bring. Grant you this was the FIRST week of school.. Luckily my husband was still in the process of leaving and walking to our vehicle, When he saw our daughter crying running out of the school. No supervision and no teacher around. Informed principal about teachers behavior and nothing got done. She was scared to go back. Took her out that day... Good luck.

When my children first started at this school I thought it was the best. VERY welcoming and every student was a priority. I never dreamed I would ever have anything negative to say about this school. But, with the hiring of the new principle (second year there) it has not been the same. They no longer seem to care about the students nor do they seem to want the parents to be involved in their child's education. The teachers no longer seem happy either. I personally am moving my children to a new school.

Welcoming teachers who are excited about teaching and learning with students. The AP is very warm and welcoming and has a personal connection to all she comes in contact with. Teachers and students have several support people to help them help their students as they become the best teachers for our children.

What a pleasure this school has been. The teachers are wonderful and even the other parents I've interacted with are great. Its nice to feel a sense of community and that we are all working together to give our kids what they need, a great education and a great environment to grow to their potential.

We love Tobias Elementary. My daughter had the Best kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Robin Moore, she could possibly have and this teacher went above and beyond what most teachers do. We are very pleased with Tobias and feel our children are getting a grade A+ education there. The score '3' does not tell you how much the teachers truly care and are dedicated to their students. It was a large school that lost many children due to two new schools. I know without a doubt that the scores will soar for this last school year. You will be happy here at Tobias Elementary school. The only problems I've had are that the principal isn't very social and doesn't tend to reach our to new parents. The PTA, last year, was not strong at all but we're excited about the 09-10 school year having a very strong Executive Board and have great expectations

This school is the first place that my 3rd grade special needs child has really excelled! She made the honor roll for the first time! The special education department has been wonderful and even with a mid-year change of teacher for her, it has been smooth with no interruption of services. I'd recommend this school to any parent.

When we moved here about 3 years ago I had 3 children going to this school and everyone was wonderful. My youngest had a hard time adjusting and her Kinder teacher was great and would take time out to have a one on one to let me know how my daughter was doing. Of course there have been a few teachers that we have gone through that my children have had that were not the best with children, but all in all the teachers are great. We especially love Mrs. Chilek. I also feel my kids are safe at this school. You now have to show I.D. to enter the building and sign in. This school is great!

I was very impressed by Tobias. However, now that we are losing the dual language program, I am deeply saddened and angry. My daughter will now have to transfer schools to follow the program which leaves her with no way to be bussed to her dad's school or leave the program all together. I wish they would have discussed this with parents before the decision was made!!

This school has been absolutly wonderful. Everyone is so helpful. We recently moved to Kyle and all of the staff welcomed our daughter with open arms.

No one has mentioned the Dual Language (Spanish/English) program at this school. That is worth an extra star right there. It is incredibly forward thinking and is helping to create multi-lingual individuals from Kindergarten on up.

The advanced Alpha H program for elem. students is only 4 hours a week, and advanced materials in the class are only available if the teacher will assist. They cannot provide curiculum beyond the current grade level. Some great teachers but more should be provided for students that want to learn. They rotate 'specials' computer time, art, music with an extra dose of PE. There is a good level of parental involvement and an above average PTA. The principal meets with parents monthly to answer questions and go over issues. They are focusing on science in their curriculum now.

I feel that the school should be more secure. There has been several times that I have walked in to the school and walk right by the office without having to sign and I have had two teachers see me walk by and don't even question me. I should have been stopped and ask where is my vistor pass. My child attends that school and I am very worried about his and all the other childrens safety. If the office is not careful someone could just go into the school and know one would questioned it. I have never seen the principal outside when we drop of our kids or pick them up. When my son attended Fuentes the Principal was always walking around inside the building and outside. I like to see more of the Principal around the school.
