Inter City is hardly a great school. Some of the teachers just worry about us passing the Staar test.

Inter City Elementary's staff could use some work, particularly in the front office. Mr. Dunlap is very rude to not only the students, but the parents, as well. He has poor phone etiquette, also. Very disappointed with this school. When we first moved to this area, I was pleased with the school. Now, I can't wait until the end of the year. I won't be enrolling my kids in La Marque school district next year.

I am a mom of 8 ages 9 to 27 and a grandma of 3. My youngest daughter goes to this school. Thankfully we are planning on moving. This school has way to many problems to list them all. buses with kids left the school and kids was dropped off way earlier then they should of been. The school personnel and the school district acted like it was no big deal. It was no big deal to them because it was not their children. Well it made the front page of the Galveston Daily Newspaper. there is so much more wrong with this school. Kids harrasing kids , bullying and more. They act like put a uniform on and all problems will be solved. Worst school, I have had to deal with.in all my life next to lamarque high these schools are equal to each other bad schools.

My children attended this school for two years and I am impressed with the dedication the principal and teachers have to the quallity of their childrens education. The unity of the students represents the spirit and comitment they have to their academics. Parents expect miracles and don't realize they have to meet half way in order for progress to be achieved. This school has overcome adversity and proved that it doesn't matter what economic or cultural background that success is potential in all students. Kudos to the teachers and staff for working long hours and honor no child left behind.

I have a little to say about this particular school. The experiance that I have with this school has been negative to say the very least. The biggest interest with La Marque schools in general is the participation in the atheletic department,& not a childs best interest. Inter city is the school that I have a first hand opinion on. The over all attitude of this school is treating all the students like juvenile delinquints and not recognizing those who really deserve to be treated positively. This gives a young child a feeling of hopelessness & no desire to do their best because the treatment is still negative. A very sad situation...Especially for eager to learn elementary students. What a sad reality.
