My son was relentlessly bullied by the same group of kids for quite a awhile but I worked with the counselor and assistant pricipal and it all but stopped within a few weeks. They really do care about the kids. I think that it is a wonder school and the teachers really and administrators were really helpful and my son has improved his grades to from C's and D's to A's and B's. It is truly a caring environment.
Lomax is a good school, although some of the teachers need to focus more on teaching their classes and helping their students to become more responsoble young adults than they do coaching a sports team. I also feel that the school needs to have teachers that know their subject matter and how to use the computer programs so that they can communicate with the parents and let them know more about how their children are doing in class. Most of the teachers are wonderful so if they just change a few of the staff members Lomax would be a GREAT school. The principal and her staff really discourage parental involvement, if you aren't in 'the group' you are not really welcome.
