La Porte Elementary School

The ratings giving to this school must be from the staff or ignorant parents. This school has the worst mannered, rude, and disrespectful staff. Having rules set for the children is one thing but enforcing them in a military style is completely ridiculous! These are children NOT SOLDIERS! No parents are permitted to enter the school when dropping off or picking up their child. The staff rudely make that clear when your walking up to the school doors. When the children are dropped off they are made to go all they way around the sidewalk (next to the traffic) towards the front doors, when there is clearly a set of doors for them at the drop off section. The teachers are incredibly rude and strict. My children don't want to go to that school any more and if I had a choice to put them in another one I definitely would. There's no way to communicate with the teacher other than through notes. And if your lucky maybe they'll take time to see or talk to you. There's also no way of you to communicate with the other parents and I believe the school wants it that way so the real issues of that school won't be brought out into the open.

La Porte Elementary is very kid friendly. The staff is awesome and it is evident the students come first. The students learn in a fun environment! My children will tell you that LPE is the best school ever.

Love the school!!! The Principal and Staff are great. I am very involved and my child loves to get up in the morning to go. More parents are becoming more involved, which I think will help the school.

La Porte Elementary has been a great school for my children. We recently moved from a nearby district and the dedication of all the teachers, principals and office staff has been amazing. They truly care about children here.
