My kids have attended Effie Morris for only four months. I think they both have wonderful teachers in the pre k and kindergarten programs. I especially like how many feild trips the kids get to go on.

I think this is a great school. My two kids attend here, and I substitute teach here. The students seem challenged by the curriculum without feeling overwhelmed. The parent involvement is highly noticed around campus with a great deal of volunteering. All children have access to free breakfasts and lunches regardless of their ability to pay.

I believe that for a 'normal child' you could not ask for a better school. When it comes to there special education program I did not feel tha it matched up to my standards in this regard. Other than that it is a great school wth a wonderful staff.

School is in a low income district, therefore, the teachers do not get paid well. The turn over rate is high. Quality of teachers is not great. The Principle and VP are outstanding and do the best with what they have.

I have taught at Effie Morris Elementary for a long time. I have seen so much growth. I could have easily gone to a different district for more money, but money cannot buy the 'family feeling' that I experience at Effie Morris. The teachers I work with go above and beyond to reach each one of the students. Lessons are creative, exciting, and fun. We have a small PTO group, but they work very hard to make Effie a great place. The principal has really blossomed as a leader in the last few years. I enjoy working with him. The vice-principal is a wonderful addition to our staff. Their personalities compliment each other and they are a good team. I intend to retire from Effie when the time comes; I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

I am amazed how uniforms make these children so content. They have no worries about lunch mondy or eating breakfast. It's served no matter. They come and learn. This is just a good school. I am truly relieved to let go of them during the day.
