We have been very impressed with Nye Elementary! The teachers are very experienced, prepared, and truly concerned about the progress of their students as well as their overall well-being. We are blessed to have a school this wonderful available for our son. He learned to read in kinder. We had already made reading a priority in our home from the very beginning. They completed the puzzle, and now he is sounding out words that are not sight words. The principal, assistant principals, nurses, counselors, teachers (librarian, coaches, paraprofessionals, and music teacher included), registrar, front desk staff, custodians, security guards are all there with the same goal of making Nye a nurturing place for educational growth for the kids. Yeah!

Great school! Great Teachers. My Kindergarten son already reads so amazed. I say this school is one of the best if not the best in Laredo.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and caring for all the children regardless of their academic deficets! Principal/assistant principals are very high caliber, compassionate and academically inclined! my child just loves Nye

The academic program in nye elementary is very fulfilling to the students. The extracurricular activities give the student wide choice to pursue what they enjoy parents should get involved more with they children education
