I love Prada Elementary School because staff there are about making a difference. The administrators are always looking for ways to capture the attention of students in ways that help them excel.I love watching my daughters exceed my expectation. Because the school is located in a financialy disadvantage area in town, they are limited to the amount of money they have for the staff to make learning a fun experience. A lot of the times money has to be spent out of the pockets of teachers. I vote for my favorite school to win, Prada Elementary!!!
Prada Elementary has Accelerated Reader; this program is excellent because it motivated the students to read more. The students love their music teacher, Mr. Montemayor. He enjoys working with the children. Also, thanks to the parent volunteers, the basketball teams are very strong. The kinder baseketball team won the City Championship for 2006, and the first grade basketball team went to playoffs. Parent involvement is good, but I there is always room for improvement.
