I completely disagree with the last comment. I have never had any problems with either principal. The past and current principals, may have different personalities, but they both have and are doing an outstanding job in leading the school (students, parents, teachers, and faculty) to excellence. I strongly believe there are many parents who need to take responsibility for their own and their children's attitudes and behavior and stop blaming others. My children are always excited about going to school and never want to be absent. I never remember being that eager to go to school when I was their age ... That alone tells me how wonderful Ferguson is:-)!!! Yours in Good Faith ... a parent with 5 blessings who are current or future Ferguson Sailors :-)
Extremely disappointed in Ferguson.Principal is all about power ans she is extremely rude. Well being of the child is her last priority.
Ferguson Elementary is outstanding! From the individual caring teachers, the facilities as well as the leadership ~ I could not ask for anything more for my child. My son can't wait to get to class each day! I am proud to be associated with such an amazing school in the League City Area!!
I love the teachers there, they really love the children. Don't mind that they do push for higher achievment if they also take care of all the children who attend the school and not force it on all. My son made a's and b's last yr. in 4th anwas still put in tutoring. He was in 4th doing the same homework if not a higher level than my 6th grader! Do not like the principal @ all. She is more in it for control, power & the stataus of words outside on the building for ratings then she is for the children. My children have attended many schools in many places, Ilove League City, but have never had this many problems w/ a school on resovling problems and handling the children who are doing things wrong just because of the status on thier family income. Love the front office staff also.
I have had nothing but excellent experiences with both of my children here. Problem resolution is excellent, standards are high, and my children love going to school there! Highly recommend!
I know that every child has special needs and each parent is new at one time or another - but the absolute lack of assistance in getting issues resolved or questions answered is rather shocking. (kids will be kids is not good enough). At a sport event the other day 5 other parents (2-5th graders) were discussing pulling their children as well...it is a difficult choice especially when part of your issues are that your child needs consistency and stability. Extremely disappointed in Ferguson.
School is great if you have a advanced student, however if you have a child with a learning disability, the programs are not that great. We have had both.
I am parent of a child who currently attends Ferguson Elementary. The school seems to be more advanced than others, and is a great benefit to children who conform to their mold. Luckily my child does fit their mold, but my heart goes out to the parents whose children do not 'conform'.
This is a top notch wonderful place for parents as well as children! The administration is wonderful, the staff is very professional and caring, the parents are very supportive and active! I've had 4 children go through and have had nothing but great experiences!
Poor behavior management practices. Ferguson is a good school for high achievers and compliant children, but children with neurological differences and any challenging behaviors are swept under the carpet.
Terrific and challenging school. A very wealthy community without the desirable diversity. However, most children are held to a high level of performance and expectations for them are very high. Unfortunately there is little continuation at the intermediate and high school level.
The number of kids is too high. Not enough one on one contact with children. The academics is Ok. Extra activities are good. Parents involved is good. TASK scores don't mean too much.
I have had two students at this school and have been very pleased with the teachers, principals, and programs.
