i have not been as pleased with this program. there is a lot of interindividual variation with satisfaction depending on which parent you speak with. the school and the policies set by the administrator are not family friendly. there appears to be favoritism amongst the teachers for students that are easy to teach or more 'intelligent'. the same applies to parents. parental involvement is not encouraged nor is feedback. there is very little response on the part of the administrator to concerns raised by parents. the school boasts well trained staff and rigorous academics but not everyone may benefit. the only reason why they do so well is their location.

South Shore Montessori is an exceptional Montessori program. The students are typically ahead in their development and maturity. The reason is the teachers encourage the child to move as at a pace that is right for their education level. My two daughters were reading by 4 years old due to the strong focus on phonics. My kids love to learn thanks to the excellent teachers! The elementary program is top notch! The kids get a lot of individual attention. The kids are one to two grade levels adead in the most subjects. I wish I could have learned this way when I was in school.
