My kids have attended this school since it opened. My 8th grader went through and we've never had any problems! All the teachers were great! My other son who is now in 5th grade now, never had any issues either. My daughter is in 1st grade there too. I've always been an active parent and involved in my kids classrooms. It's all about what you put into a school. There hasn't been any guns, machetes, knives taken to this school. I have nothing but great things to say about this school.

This campus allows students to hit on teachers, curse out the teachers and the students only lose their Lions Roar (free fun day), and maybe get a half day in school suspension. Last time I checked hitting a teacher was a felony??? Per code of conduct book??? Students have also been known to bring knives, machetes, guns and not much done to them for that. Again, the code of conduct book goes out the window here with this principal. If you want your child safe, DO NOT send them to Bluebonnet Elementary, they will get hurt! Principal here is not in it for the safely and well being of the staff nor students....just the money!

Teachers seem burnt out, principal doesn't seem to really care about parental opinion. She even had the nerve to imply she knew the kids (all 548 of them!) better than the parents because she had them 8 hours of the day!!! Councilor there is just a joke! She spends all her time coming up with slogans and wristbands for no bullying but when a child is getting bullied, she will get back to you on that in 2 or 3 weeks!!! This school has had many problems since it opened. Many have been fixed, but many more are occurring with no attention from teachers or principal. My all A student now doesn't want to go to school and doesn't care about her grades. Her teachers don't care, they think there is no problem. The principal & councilor say see if it gets better rather than trying to find out what is wrong! Seriously, NO ONE seems to care about the students in this school!!!!!!

Teachers are great in this school however the principal is another story. She is not friendly and does not take parent concerns to heart. She is a lot of talk and no action. She is also not very kid friendly and seems to take the fun out of learning. This school would be much better off without her there. She is much better suited for a high school environment. I love everything else about this school but having a principal you can't believe in really takes away from the experience.

This school's teachers and staff are wonderful. This year my child has blossomed in this environment both socially and academically - and I adore her teacher! The administrative staff is professional and friendly. I believe this school is the best elementary school in Lockhart.

This is a beautiful new school with great facilities. My daughter's teacher is approachable and kind. However, the principal is not as approachable as I have found at other schools. She does not encourage parental input.
