My child started school at lometa this year. I'm very impressed with the teachers and administration. They have gone above and beyond to work with us as parents. My child is learning and having fun doing it. She is in pre-k, and I'm looking forward to seeing her grow and learn at this school.

My son has been enrolled at Lometa ISD since 2000 when he was in the third grade and my daughter has been enrolled since 2005. I have no complaints about my children's education, nor the staff and administration. I have always been greeted, and have found a very friendly learning environment. My children are smart, well educated and one of them is in his Junior year and will be enlisting in the service after graduation. I look forward to the next ten years at Lometa because it is our full intent to have our daughter graduate from Lometa ISD also. Keep up the great extracurricular activities, music, peewee sports etc. A band and choir would make a great addition eventually. Go Hornets!!!!!!!

I have never been fond of this school. But I have to say that this school year Lometa ISD is making immense moves forward in the quality of education. The students receive a grade based on their behavior. This year they started providing music education also! The board is requiring the various administrative staff to spend a small portion of time in the classroom!.

Lometa school was the best school i went to. I was sad when i had to leave this school. Sure there were ups and downs, but everything always worked out. I had great teachers and friends. I never had a problem with the principal or Superintendent. Maybe they didn't all the extracurricular activities, but i learned. I've been told I'm above average. And guess what, i learned all from Lometa. Sure anybody else can call this school bad. Ask me I'll tell you its the best school for.

My son has attended Lometa ISD from Pre K - 3rd. Our experience has been wonderful - perhaps because we were blessed with great teachers... I do agree that the current Principal is awful. All I see is him wandering the halls - he has never acknowledged me in the 5 years we have been there. Not even 'Hello'. Lometa started a youth program that consists of flag football and basketball for Grades 1 - 6. This is wonderful for the kids. Lometa lacks in extracurricular activities such as Art, Music, Computer learning, Shop Class. All because of funding. So sad.

Parents are not heard, our children are at the mercy of people that do not care. We have some good teachers and some that recant due to being afraid of losing jobs. It`s a shame they will not stand up for our kids!

The administration is absolutely horrible. They believe just because the 'run' the school they are perfect and do not need parent involvement. There is no support for parents. The children are treated awful. I wish there were more options for this small town. There are very few extracurricular activities. They offer nothing for younger grades. As a parent you feel helpless when it comes to trying to help your child. The administration doesn't make parents feel welcome. The amount of bullying is ridiculous with no consequences for the perpretrator. I am very unhappy with my children attending Lometa ISD. We are moving just because of the poor quality school here.

Lometa ISD is not a good school. The administration is awful. There is no parent involvement or even a wanting for it. Problems are not managed well. There are definately different rules for males versus females. Some of the teachers do not want parents to ask questions or to be involved in their kids school activities.

FAll 2004 Lometa ISD has the worst administration in the state of Texas. The principal has been at Lometa ISD 4 years. He is not allowed to coach girls' athletics--but he is a principal at a public school? The superintendent and Lometa ISD school board are aware of this problem . Nothing is done. The parents are taking their children out of Lometa ISD and enrolling their children at area school districts. TEA, UIL, and other professional teacher organizations are aware of the problems with the principal. Help us at Lometa ISD
