Very safe school and great education provided. Excellent principal, Mrs. Scolville, takes time to get to know students and parents as well. School is fenced all over and all doors are locked at all times. Visitors must present a valid I.D. so they can run it through their system and if clear you are given a visitors pass. Must sign in and out. They have a zero bullying tolerance as well. Teachers are in daily communication with parents via a behavior chart handed out daily to the students along with a reminder of their homework assignments. I feel very safe leaving my two children at Lopez Riggins Elementary as I know they are in good hands.
Guys, dont spend your money on private school. Los Fresnos School District is highly ranked and the students receive great education. At Lopez-Riggins, the teachers, principal (Mrs. Flores), nurses and staff are nice and professional. The school offers a closed campus and you must be buzzed in before entering the building. You are ID'd upon arrival and must sign in and out.
I have had two children in this school and I would like to say that the education that they have recived has been exceptional. My daughter is now attending one of the middle schools in the district and my son is in the fourth grade, I am happy to say that they are doing well thanks to the foundation that the teachers at Lopez Riggins established.
I would like to start by thanking all of my daughter's teachers since she has attended Lopez-Riggins. She has always been on the A Honor Roll and we as parents recognize that she has achieved her goals with the help of her teachers. The school has great and very committed teachers who get the kids excited about learning. I would also like to welcome Linda Gallegos as the new principal.
