LCA has outstanding, caring teachers and staff. It is full of great families. A good balance of strong academics, excellent character training and kingdom education.

This is the perfect school for children coming from various backgrounds, some have been homeschooled in the past, some have transferred from other public or private schools, but all are seeking the best academic opportunity for their child. Lucas is a Christian Academy of many faiths Baptist, Catholic, Jewish, they teach Worldview Biblical knowledge. Lucas is a K-12 University Model with most students attending 3 days on site and 2 days off site based on class choices. The teachers and academic curriculums will prepare your child for college and the many sports, art, theater, praise band and even a drum line this year compete against other schools as a team. The school is growing and recently broke ground for a new building October 5th, 2013. What I love about LCA is they give back to the community, lead by example and encourage students to be their best. Students live in all cities from Collin, Rockwall even Dallas and it is worth it. We live in Allen, weighed all our options for 9th grade and our student hasn't been this happy in a long time. That is priceless although Lucas is surprisingly affordable. The Lord is present in every class, student event and at home.

If you are looking for a school that will give you and your family a chance to grow together, this is your school! The teachers and staff work with you as the parent. They are not only concerned for your children's education but the overall family well being. The classrooms are less then 20 students, so it's not crowded. The parents love the school that it truly is a wonderful partnership of volunteering for the better of the school and kids. This school is for k-12th grade.

Our family has been involved with this school for the past 12 years. We have seen the school bloom in ordinary and extraordinary ways. The people involved love God and love their kids. Ordinary families pay the price day after day for their children to develop into God-knowing people. This leads to extraordinary results. We won half a million dollars in a national contest that allowed us to purchase the property for the school. That took sustained effort from just about all of us. Our kids do well academically and athletically. But it's greater still that when we lose, it's not the end of the world. I give Lucas Christian Academy five stars.

We absolutely love this school. There is such a sense of community and I love the parent involvement. The leadership is incredible and I love how they have a leadership team that prays and makes decisions together and will not move forward unless they are all in agreement. We have been involved in a few private schools and this one is the best by far. My son feels such a sense of belonging and the children truly love him and include him.

This university model school is an excellent combination of classroom and homeschooling. It is a community of families partnering together to give their children the best education in a safe, godly atmosphere. It does require a high level of parental involvement, and so might not be a good fit for every family.

My grandson attends here and is receiving an excellent education as well as sports and relationship.

Our children have attended elementary school here for several years and we love it. LCA is a University Model School, so the students attend classes at school on M/W/F and then home school on Tu/Th (in elementary). I personally like this model, as you get "the best of all worlds"...the benefits of classmates and the extra individual attention and family time at home. LCA is also an authentic Christian school, in practice, not just the name on the building. The administration and the parents are wonderful. The older students are extremely impressive. They are kind, respectful, confident, well-spoken, and great role models to the younger students. The academics are strong (and the part-time homeschooling allows for some flexibility based on your child's strengths, weaknesses, and interests). Tuition is extremely reasonable compared to other private schools, and unlike some, you can pay monthly with no penalty. Because of the low tuition, the facilities are not impressive; however, a new building is being constructed, and the students' successes to date just show that you don't need fancy buildings and electronics to have a superior education.

This is our first year at LCA. We have been nothing but pleased and overwhelmed with the kindness and love by everyone. Our daughter is so happy and doing better with her grades than she ever has. The Christian Fellowship is amazing by the staff, parents and students!

This school has added so much to our family. The academics are important and have been good, but this school adds so much more. We have strong families involved in every area of the school...sports, theater, music, etc. This concept is attractive to many families. I am grateful to have had 2 children of my own graduate from LCA. I think our new building is going to be a wonderful asset as we are busting at our seams!! We are small but offer so much. It is a school designed to help develop well-rounded students who are capable of making a difference in the world waiting for them.

LCA uses Christian curriculum, has small classes, about 300 kids total, with an emphasis put on the child's personal relationship with Jesus. Very affordable. The school is quaint. Has a variety of athletics and arts, most of the administration have students currently enrolled. Your child will be more than ready for the academics of college. Lots of home-schooler love the transition, because the parent must be involved. Down sides are because the school is so small, and many of the students have grown up together, there are tight clicks among the girls, in most grades. The elementary teachers are awesome, and most of the other Teachers, but the budget is small. Also, they can be legalistic. There's a ton of paper work just to enroll, and a lot of last minute changes, but If you want to keep your kids in a sheltered, Godly environment, this is it!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
