My daughter attended this school and she loved it. The staff at this school is excellent and they pride themselves with the ability to teach your children with great care and skill.

My son attended Anderson this past school year, while he was in 3rd grade. Let me start off by telling you he had NEVER had any problems at his previous school, and so far his 4th grade year at a new school is going great. At Anderson, he had a lot of trouble with his teacher, because she did not know how to handle a child with mild adhd. The principle wasn't much help, either. She acted as if whatever the teacher did was justified. The principal is also a very unfriendly lady, who speaks to you in a sarcastic voice and acts like you are stupid. My child had to start going to counseling during the school year because of all the tension at school.

This school has a most positive learning environment. The teachers focus on students and how to be most effective with them. Students and their needs always come first. Parent involvement is welcomed and appreciated at all times, and students feel safe with these teachers and respect and trust in the principal and her fantastic leadership. No children are left behind at this school.

I have a child who attended Anderson after many years in private school. It was the most positive change we ever made. It is one of the most positive places in town. The staff all cares about each other and your child. sure each grade had some teachers weaker in some areas. But all in alll, an excellemt academic environment. Extracirricular is there if you want it. Lots of parental involvement among certain groups. Of course, as with most public schools a section does not participate at all.Choir, reading, after school tutoring, ... It is all there along with a huge section of handicapped children that are treated with dignity and love. No complaints.

The teachers are ignorant of modern techniques in teaching children. Lot s of bad kids attend this school, and parents don t seem to care about what goes on here. Facilities are lagging and school is showing its age poorly. Kids are often seen on the playground smoking cigarettes in full view of the teachers. You can almost watch the playground float away whenever it rains, as it floods with water. Stricter discipline of the students is sorely needed.

School performance is very disappointing. Principals leadership, involvement, and caring for students is very dismal. Safety of student is of lower concern than academics for this schools leadership.
