Seriously, this is a terrible school, so much needs to be done. Terrible learning environment & the lack of compassion for the students. There is no real help for struggling students & UIL is reserved for the teacher's favorites. Kids are not allowed to talk during class or lunch. If they are caught talking during lunch, they get lunch detention. This is a small school & unless your family has money or you have a great athlete for a son/daughter - good luck. Parents are discouraged from attending field trips & there is no parental involvement whatsoever. There is no art, music, drama program. Their main concern is TAKS.

Excellent staff and administration. Students are taught beyond basics and are intellectually challenged. Discipline problems are minimal. Great G.T. and Bilingual programs. Counselors do guidance lessons on a scheduled basis. Tutoring opportunities are provided for all students who need it. Staff development opportunities are made availabel year-round. Response to Intervention fully in place. Student Assistance Program meets monthly to address the needs of struggling students. Students given opportunities to attend field trips to enhance learning. Excellent P.E. program. U.I.L. opportunities for interested students.
