NSE has one of the best Special Education programs. My Pre-K daughter attends NSE and loves the teachers and staff. They have done such a awesome job with her.

This a great school. My son transfered there after we moved, and he loves it. His grades were good, but have improved from low A's and high B's to high A's.

NSE has the best teachers and is so organized. They also teach the kids good morals and how to respect others so that they can grow up to be respectable citizens with a good work ethic. I love the fact that they still salute the American Flag in God we trust. As it should be!

You couldn't ask for a better school with a better staff. The staff cares about each and every child. Have you ever been to a school, any school, where the principal know each and every student by name and what's going on with that child? I don't think so. The love filling those hallways blows my mind!

Nichols Sawmill Elementary provides the most caring environment of any school I have seen. The entire staff is committed to the success of each child. The principal, Linda Kenjura, leads the charge with her ability to make every child feel special and her pledge that all children can be helped to achieve their goals. The entire staff acts as one family to ensure a safe and loving environment for each student. NSE is the best place to be!

Nichols Swamill is great for many reasons. The teachers here really care about each and every child . The school itself makes you feel happy just walking down the halls. I have not yet been into a school where the principal will stop talking with parents and speak to her students. To me that says alot about how great this school really is! Great job NSE !! It really is a great place to be!!

We moved here last year from a very large and highly regarded school district; my fifth grader was devastated to leave life-long friends. However our experience at NSE has been fantastic and my child now wishes we had moved to Magnolia, and NSE, years ago. My kindergartner has also excelled and we find the principal, vice principal, and teachers to be very much a happy presence in our children's school life, every day. We feel this school is excellent.

The principal is a very hands-on principal. Very good! But honestly, I can't afford this school. When you have more than one child, it's hard when the teachers and PTO ask for stuff. The PTO has so many committees it's quite overwhelming. I think there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Everything is too much. Their fundraisers are unbelievable, the stuff they ask for! Your children don't understand when you can't do everything- it's been a heartbreaking year. This school doesn't promote reading like our other school did,which I thought was wonderful for my boys. To me that's more important than TAKS test.

My family has had the opportunity to see this school flourish. Since opening year 02'-03' my two children have grown to appreciate and have a deeper understanding of: the importance of education, responsibility, respect for others, respect for rules and guidelines, personal confidence in themselves, along with sincere encouragement to 'BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE'! Structure within the school has been established and improved upon each year to benefit the students, staff efficiency, parent/ volunteer ease of services, and overall safety procedures concerning our loved ones. I give this school my highest reguards. The education your child receives here is phenominal! Not only cumulitive curricular education, but life skills including the makings of a future generation of responsible community leaders! The extracurricular activities are outstanding in choice and variety. All my praises NSE- keep up the good work! We are proud to be a part of NSE!

I can't say enough about nse. I wish you could all come visit us during our morning assembly. It is a great way to get the day started and the kids love it. My son is constantly going around the house singing the school song or saying the school motto. Our volunteers are the best. They really work hard to help the teachers and kids. The great thing about our volunteers is that they take the money that is raised and not only buy playground equipment, but they also fill teacher wish lists every year. They put your money to work to better your child's education and fun on the playground. Nse teachers and staff really want each child to reach their full potential and do the best they can do. They care deeply for these kids. I love the nse motto, and it really is true... Nse...A great place to be!

The school volunteers are awesome! The teachers are good also, but I think some of the programs go overlooked like the PPCD and Lifeskills programs. I also think we need more parental involvement and more unbiased staffing. The office personnel are very gossippy and the principals are not very accessible when needed to the parents. I really am upset that the district has decided to continue the contracts of some of the staff members. I think the PTO volunteers and board members are wonderful and we could not make it without any of them. Their attitudes are all great and never had any harsh words to say! The class sizes are small which is a benefit! It is a great school but it could be stronger in some areas!
