I taught at this school for four years and must disagree with the review posted on October 12, 2007. The first principal of this school was excellent. She supported the teachers, and was interested in meeting each child's individual needs. Students were treated with respect, while being held accountable for their behavior.

We moved in from a larger city and didn't quite know what to expect with Maypearl. We are extremely pleased. Our child has continually exceeded all of our goals and he truelly enjoys this school. A small environment definately helped when it came to grades and one on one time with his teachers. He says he actually feels as if his voice is heard here!

There have been 2 principals at this school since its inception and both have been horrible. The teachers and administrators use the 'bully' mentality to educate children here. We have children that range from AP scholars to special ed and none have found any benefit at this school. Our children now attend a charter school.

Administrative leadership is strong. The principal leads teachers in meeting the individual needs of each child. She is encouraging and supportive to students, parents, and faculty.
