Not impressed by this school at all. They have open campus, making 10-14 year olds leave for lunch, there is no cafeteria so these children are forced to fend for themselves. Not only that, but there is no crossing guards to keep the kids safe during lunch hour traffic.

McCamey Middle School, by far, exceeded my expectations of any middle school in the area I could have chosen to enroll my child. For a 1-A school, McCamey offers several sports and other UIL events. The student to teacher ratio is very acceptable, and there is always an abundance of opportunity to speak with my child's teacher(s). The administration has a good support staff. My child loves this school, a lot more than the 3-A school she had been enrolled in prior to moving to McCamey.
