I have been very impressed with the care and involvement the staff all show with my children. I will most certainly stay in this area until my children finish school so they can remain in the district. Moving to McDade was the best decision I have ever made, involving my children.
Unfortunately with the coming of the new principal the school lacks discipline, order and commitment. His lack of willingness to attend, much less prepare for IEPs is underwhelming to say the least. Mr. J makes decisions without follow thru and in our case took actions that disregarded and counteracted the agreements of our IEP. Nice enough guy, but my experiences with him showed him to be fairly incompetent as a k-8 grade principal in his role as it related to our childrens' welfare.
Even though some of the teachers at this school are helpful it is the principal that makes the school unbearable with his preconcieved and arrogrant ways.
