I attend Irion County High School and I have to say that I love every bit of it! I am not one of those popular kids but that doesn't mean they pick on me, we are all like family. The teachers are great and the schools program definitely focuses on education! I also have to say there are many non-sport activities to be involved in such as 4-h, FFA, UIL, Scouts, and much more. Its a great place to live!! :)

The school is the reason we moved to the area 15 years ago and have not been disappointed yet. My three children have been very well prepared for college. The teachers go above and beyond to work with the students and dont stop working and caring when the bell rings. This school is the core of our community and I believe makes it a wonderful place to live!

I am just now finding this site and reading the post from one particular parent not happy with IC. I have to say I disagree. We have been in other school districts and are therefore an 'outsider'. But all three of my children are thriving here in this school district. THe teachers give very individual attention. And my children are very involved in serveral non-athletic activities including the academic UIL teams. THe 4H program works closely with the school to further enhance my child's overall learning environment. I feel incredibly fortunate that my kids get to attend this school. I'm willing to bet more parents agree with me than don't.

Has the potential to be a good school if your family is from area. Staff and students do not take well to outsiders. Lacks in guidance for students and does not offer many non sport related activities. Entire school district is founded on a who knows who basis. Not happy with school or school district. Poor learning environment for students.

Great staff and principal. Meets students needs in the classroom and prepares all kids for the world after high school.
